DJ Khaled was also briefly interviewed and spoke on a few things. Mavado is heated about this feud and I’m glad that Winford got him on the program so he can speak his mind. Recently Deejay Shabba Ranks made a visit to Jamaica but during his short stay he managed to do what he hasn’t done locally in decades…record music. Traveling with a mob in Half Way Tree, Winford Williams managed to catch Shabba to speak on a few things. Here Shabba spoke about being in Jamaica to celebrate Mother’s Day, recording in Jamaica for the first time in many years, visiting his old communities, his views on Dancehall recently including the conviction of Vybz Kartel, family life, and possibilities of performing in Jamaica again. Good to see Shabba still doing his thing and his new single sounds great from the preview that was provided. Get together that “Gorilla Money” promoters. With news of her boss given a prison sentence, and her upcoming trial, Vawnessa Bling stepped in a new direction and asked for “Mercy” on Onstage tonight. Here she spoke on how Vybz Kartel’s sentence affected her, being raised in the church and continuing to be a part of it, her new single “Mercy On Me Lord” and the feedback she has been getting for it, separating “Gaza Slim” from “Vawnessa Bling“, and handling all her music business on her own. Blign also premiered the music video for “Mercy On Me Lord“. With her trial coming in August, I do hope things will work out and we can hear more of “Vawnessa Bling“.
