ChroIn just a couple years, Reggae artist Chronixx has become a household name worldwide. With captivating lyrics and an awesome stage presence, there’s no stopping the 21 year old artist. Tonight he joined Winford Williams to speak on a few things. Here he spoke about his upcoming “Dread And Terrible” project and the meaning of the name, being the jack of all musical trades and being around multifaceted people, accomplishing so much in his youth and giving it up to his ever expanding team, being independent, going on a European tour, and being more serious about his career and making the right investments. Great Interview here, with the way his career is going it’s only right that he molds it the way he wants it to be and ensures that no faults are being made. KOBeing one of the top Hip Hop acts in North America, Kardinal Offishall has always reached out to the land of his heritage, Jamaica. From collaborating with top Dancehall acts to incorporating Dancehall styles in his songs, Kardinal always managed to keep a close link to Canada and Jamaica. Tonight on Onstage he spoke about his new position at Universal Music, his recent nomination at the JUNO Awards, his upbringing, collaborating with Bounty Killa that gave him his break in Jamaica, promoting new music on the island, and creating a movement to help Caribbean artists, designers, and producers to bring their talent to a larger audience. Great interview here, Kardinal also premiered the music video for his “Tattoo/Rude Bwoy” single which was shot in Jamaica. I commend him for donating to the Clonmel Primary and Junior High as well. Here he spoke about visiting his mother, being born in New York and his upbringing in Jamaica, his upcoming “Best of the Best” concert, thoughts on the Vybz Kartel trial and how it affects Dancehall Music worldwide, how promoting Dancehall Music differs in the U.S. and the difficulties faced when it comes to crossing over. Not a bad interview here, Jabba has been one of the top DJs overseas to bring the best of Dancehall to the streets and airwaves. With Vybz Kartel being slapped with a guilty verdict, many fans feel that Dancehall is now “dead”. Ninjaman, who is no stranger to being caught up in the law, found himself on Onstage to discuss a few things. Here he weighed in on the Vybz Kartel case, how things would’ve been if the verdict was “not guilty“, his experiences with the law and now avoiding conflict, Sting 2013, and new music. Here Konshens spoke about his Konz876 shoe line and its progress so far, his collaboration with Sean Paul and performing it overseas including on the Arsenio Hall Show, and signing Masicka to his Subkonshus label and future projects. Masicka also reintroduced himself to the world, connecting with Konshens, creating a buzz lately with new music, wanting to be a bigger force in Dancehall music, and upcoming performances and projects.
