Recording Artists Leno Banton and Blvk H3ro continue to make big moves in their respective careers, and show that not even Covid 19 can stop their progressions. While 2020 found them experimenting with new sounds and collaborations, they can safely say that taking the chances has paid off for them, and fueled their ambitions going into the new year. Kicking off February being “Black History Month“, Leno Banton released his highly anticipated visual for “Brown Sugar“, while Blvk H3ro released the visual for “Go Fi Mine (Chop E Line)“.

First up to bat is Leno Banton’sBrown Sugar” which was shot by MVRK. In the video, Leno finds himself becoming the “Loverman“, while highlighting the feminine beauty with the help of the lovely trio of ChrissyStage, Danakdi, and Stephanie Lawrence. A colourful visual with awesome set design by Celine Alana and Osunya Rose handling the styling, expect this video to become a 2021 favourite.

Blvk H3ro continues to show that you have to put in the work for what you want in the visual for the Dunrich Muzik produced, “Go Fi Mine (Chop E Line)“. Shot by Dream Life Image Photography and shot in St. Thomas, Blvk H3ro shows here that it doesn’t matter what job you’re doing, just as long as you’re taking care of what’s important to you. From Taxi Man, to Vendor, to Construction Worker, to Garbage Collector, to Gas Pump Attendant, Blvk H3ro takes on many roles here, and keeps the message solid that you should go for what you want.

Rhiya Luna Shows She’s Better On “Indefinite”


Rhiya Luna continues to make good music, and keep her name buzzing around the world. She didn’t allow Covid 19 to stop her work ethic in 2020 as she released a few singles, but 2021 will find her going as hard as ever. She starts it off in a good way with the new single, “Indefinite“.

Produced by VoxGad Music and released through Nuh Response Production, Rhiya Luna looks to help a guy out of his current situation. While he has his lady, Rhiya did some observing and realized that his lady has been disloyal to him. She hits him with the truth, and at the same time is convincing him to make the move with her as she’s the better woman for him. Rhiya gets a lil sneaky on this one, and she still delivers greatly on the track over VoxGad’s smooth production. Rhiya has faced some difficulties as an US based artist during the pandemic, but her creativity has not slowed down once. Get ready for more from her.

The single is featured on his 2020 EP “Based On Talent“, and accompanying the track is a music video directed by Studio Gota from Brazil. In 2020, Rappers Niyne and Rxp Flo made noise with their respective projects, “Trapping From The North” and “Trap Island” respectively. Just a couple members of the growing Trap movement in Jamaica that has influenced Dancehall in recent years, only time will tell when we’ll see the movement grow beyond measure. While they have their respective fan bases, they start off the new year with a collaboration called, “Life Hack“.

Produced by Jae Martin, Niyne and Rxp Flo trade bars as they aim to get to all the bags, and if there is opposition, they’ll handle it in their own way. Not only are they bringing some energy to the scene, but they bring together their respective collectives, and possibly hinting at a soon to be released joint project. The Hip Hop scene has grown in all sort of ways in Jamaica, and you best believe it won’t die anytime soon. Get familiar with the wave!

OLDIES SUNDAY: Claudelle Clarke – I Saw The Light (1979)


With 2020 being a year filled with crazy events, it’s only right we start our first Oldies Sunday of 2021 on a Gospel note. Today’s selection comes from Gospel Music Icon Claudelle Clarke with the track, “I Saw The Light“.

Produced/Arranged by Alvin Ranglin and released through GG’s Records in 1979, this was a cover of “The King Of Country MusicHank Williams Sr.’s 1948 single. The song speaks of a backslider who looks back at the many things they have done before they see the light of God, and expresses how they feel after being saved. Before Claudelle Clarke’s version, “I Saw The Light” was already a Country Gospel standard, and was covered by the likes of Country Music Pioneer Ernest Tubb, Music Icon Pat Boone, Country Music Icon Willie Nelson, and many others. Claudelle Clarke’s version stood the test of time for being one of the best Jamaican Gospel songs ever made, and is still touching hearts to this day. The single was featured on Clarke’s 1979 album, “God Is A Mountain“.

First off, let us wish you a Happy New Year! 2020 may have been terrible for many of us, but it’s a blessing to see a brand new year filled with possibilities. Make great things happen in 2021.

Keeping up with the brand, we start the year off with brand new content! Today, we’re happy to premiere Producer/Recording Artist Kris Karz’s official visualizer for his 2020 track, “HEARTBREAK“! Directed by Karz (Dylan Golden handled the editing) and featuring the lovely Sara Jade, Kris finds himself in a bit of a relationship problem. For some, there can be trust issues, miscommunication, and even insecurity. While Kris may be feeling the stress from some of the unnecessary arguments, he ensures his lady that he’s all about her, and she should stop stressing over nothing and hurting herself in the process.

Kris Karz has been pretty busy behind the scenes for most of 2020, but with a new project on the way, he is gearing up to keep the Internet occupied with some of his new creations through his Kngly Studios imprint.
