Fresh off the heels of Gaza Slim releasing a Gospel song, TJ Records has released one from none other than Vybz Kartel. Titled “Servant“, we hear Kartel with the help from singers speak about wanting to more than an ordinary servant, giving thanks for all that has happened so far, being David while poverty is Goliath, quoting scriptures, and showing love for Jah. Interesting single from Mr. Palmer and the chrous was borrowed from the Regina Wingate single. Get ready for a ton more unreleased songs but will there be more Gospel tinged ones? After a few delays, Tommy Lee Sparta finally dropped the visual to his sexually charged song, “Whine Up“. Directed by Wayne South, the Sparta Boss drops lyrics about ladies being freaky for him, and having his way with them while see are treated to half naked strippers, blue light, glow in the dark paint and lots of colours. If you’re on the job tonight, make the browser window smaller and if you’re home, keep it away from the kids. A very sexual video with many innuendos like the photo below. Stepping in another direction today is singer Vawnessa Bling a.k.a. Gaza Slim. Titled “Mercy On Me Lord” and produced by her own VB Records, Vawnessa steps into the Gospel route with this song. She asks the Lord to keep her safe from all transgressions, having faith even when she feels like giving up, going through things and asking for guidance. This is not a bad effort from her as I’ve been following her career for a while and I believe she could flex her creative muscle. I’m actually looking forward to what else Vawnessa has in store. Dropping the lyric video for her first track off her debut EP, “Gold” is Kat C.H.R. Titled “Gold” and directed by Andrew Grey, listeners are treated to performance videos, random videos with Kat, and of course the lyrics to her song. Good effort here as “Gold” has been a popular song and If a real music video is being made I’m sure it will be pleasing just as the lyrics video. 
Never wanting the Carnival season to be over? Now you can have it all year thanks to DJ Laing D with his new mixtape. Titled “Soca Paradise“, get ready to rave some of the best Soca songs out there now, pretend that your scheme is hosting a Road March with this playing on repeat. DJ Laing also dropped a few Dancehall acts on there including QQ, Konshens, Aidonia, Jevy Sparkxx and Pencil Lunatic so you can have the best of both worlds.
