He dominated Track & Field, and he became a global Icon, and a household name. Usain Bolt has done what many aspire to do in a short amount of time, and he’s from Jamaica! Now retired, he sought to dabble in music, and has seen some success. He takes it a step further with the release of the album, “Country Yutes“.

Featuring his friend and collaborator Nugent “NJ” Walker, “Country Yutes” shows that everything Usain Bolt touches, will eventually turn into gold. While there are naysayers who doubt his foray into music, you can’t deny that the party boy will make songs for people to enjoy. He brought a few friends (“Bibi” Gardner, Kamal Evans, Jae Xo, Karanja Nelson, and NJJ) along for the ride, and gave us 14 tracks. Usain Bolt is not the first Athlete who fell into the music lane (“Bibi” Gardner is a Footballer), and that line is a long and historic one. You know the Schweppes, Bolt is bringing the A-Team Lifestyle to your speakers. Here’s to hoping he makes a small return to the other track as he’s missed over there (crossing fingers).

Devin Di Dakta is an Artist you can’t deny when it comes to making songs. His lyricism is both hailed as great, and underrated as he’s at times left out of the Dancehall conversations. Regardless, he continues to release fiery tracks, and level up his brand. For his latest release, he makes bold statements that he has made the longest and most lyrical Dancehall song in history, and has released Jamaica’s “First 1 Track EP” in the form of, “PsYcH wArD“.

Produced by Slaybad Musiq and with a video directed by Yaadboiiz Films, Devin Di Dakta gives viewers an epic showcase of lyricism for 10 minutes straight from a Padded Room. Having a few years in, Devin doesn’t show a sign of slowing down, and proceeds to have your attention with punchline after punchline. You can say his style is crazy, and he may be a mad genius, but he’s not losing it on this track. The 1 track EP isn’t the first time Devin has been stretching his creativity as he released the “iAMe001-003” Visual EP series in 2020, and commanded attention with the content behind his “Bare Meds EP” from earlier this year. Devin is still thinking outside the box with the “PsYcH wArD EP”, get familiar.

Sizzla Takes Us “On A High” On New Album

When you have a work ethic like Reggae Icon Sizzla Kalonji, best believe there will be a lot of new music to enjoy. While he has been busy in everything from producing, to Community Development, to Humanitarian work, a lot is done in those 24 hours. Nonetheless, Sizzla has get into Artist mode and give us a new album called, “On A High“.

Featuring 12 tracks, “On A High” is the follow up to the 2020 album, “Million Times“. Sizzla continues to give listeners a selection of love songs, conscious music, and a bit of Social Commentary. Chiney K Productions, Vision House Music, G MAC, In Da Mix, Great Black Minds Studio, Robert Murphy, and Kalonji Music Productions round out the producers featured on the album, while Recording Artists Gingerbread Mane and Mink Jo are the guest features on there. No matter what’s going on in the world, there’s always time to listen to some Sizzla.

Dancehall Artist Jahvillani has been trodding for a long time. He has been proving his talent to all who can hear, and has made some hits in the process. In a sea filled with EPs, Jahvillani chooses to step out with a body of work in the form of his debut album, “Dirt To Bentley“.

Released through VP Records, Jahvillani continues his journey as reflects on his humble beginnings, to finding success. He tackles various subjects over 13 tracks, and shows much growth with his delivery and vocals. If you’re here for the bad man tunes, music with a message, motivation, party music, and something for the ladies, Jahvillani covers all bases here. While some fans may be looking for the past hits on here, there are songs here that will definitely do some damage in the streams and in the streets. “Dirt To Bentley” features a lion’s share of production from Tevin “YGF” Richards, along with contributions from Adrian “Mastermind” Martin Lawrence, and Ridwaan Razak, and guest appearances from Skillibeng, Prince Swanny, Trance 1Gov, and Kranium. New York based Hip Hop Artist/Musician Warren Wint believes that time waits for no man. He also believes that he’s a god among men, and they cannot dictate his movements. Having gained a following and a tremendous buzz in recent times thanks to his appearance on Sha Money XL’s “Chain On The Bike Vol. 2” album through the track “Please” featuring Rain, Warren knew that his moment to shine was upon him. With everyone from Joe Budden, to Shani Kulture, to DJ Gatica showing him love, it was only right he stepped out with a body of work in return. That work comes in the form of his sophomore album, “Father’s Favorite”.

“Father’s Favorite” is the follow up to Warren Wint’s widely acclaimed debut album, “Quietaskept”, and promises to be an instant classic. Featuring 11 tracks, Warren drew inspiration from some of his life experiences, and taps into some great sounds to present an album that aims to connect with the listener in unique ways. He showcases an ability to switch up the flow, spit rewind worthy lyrics, and adapt to any production that was thrown his way. With production by Sha Money XL, OTB, Long Boy, Dreamlife, Othellobeats and V-Notes, the album’s DNA is laced with Jazz, R&B, Hip Hop, and Pop influences, making the listener know right away that this no ordinary project. The album is nothing short of features, and Nathaniel The Great, BTW, Devo D, and DNA all superbly contributed to the project through guest appearances. As a part of the rollout for “Father’s Favorite”, “The Whole 9”, “Me”, “Strange”, and “L.I.O.N.” singles were promoted starting from early 2020. They have since gained thousands of streams, with 3 of the 4 singles having music videos to provide additional support.

A New York native, Warren Wint toiled his way up to becoming a prominent name in music. He has caught the attention of XXL, Hot 97, The Source, Billboard, Noisey, and VH1 among others with his cleverly crafted tracks, and a standout presence. He released his debut album, “Quietaskept” in 2018, and has since worked with some of the best in the business.

Jamaica’s nothing short of creativity. From music, to fashion, to art, to dance, you could say we’re born this way to make something out of nothing. While the pandemic came and caused a fracture in the entertainment sector, many Creatives either had to fall back and take the punches, or create through the storm. Recording Artist G Law chose to do the later as he now presents his debut album, “Konneck“.

With “Konneck” consisting of 18 tracks, G Law has shown over some time that he hang with some of the best lyricists in business, and his album is an exhibition of that. Released through ZSA Music, the album boasts production from Shakespeare, Ceddii Sosa, Grim Rim Records, ISLA, and Alex Myrie. While G Law showcases some great songwriting and tapping into different audiences and subject matter, guest features from Shakespeare, ALXZSA, and Sevens provide great assistance select tracks. G Law saw the opening to make something happen, and he took that chance with the quickness, and this album promises to be a collector’s item.
