The “BHIM Nation” boss made a big move recently by signing to Def Jam Africa, a historic move that promises to gain him even more channels to deliver his classic music. Ready to take on the new opportunity like a Bull when it sees red, he releases his debut single for Def Jam titled, “Therapy“.

Produced by Supa Dups, Izy Beats, and Daramola, StoneBwoy has a conversation with his “numero uno” Woman who thinks he’s messing around despite trying to treat her special and spoil her. With the infectious production, we truly believe this will do damage when it hits more spots around the world. StoneBwoy has been one of the leading names in the Afrobeats scene for a number of years, and his iconic status continues to be greater. We’re in the month of May, but the Oldies still play! May is also recognized as “Child’s Month“, and we may feature content where the children were stars. Today’s Oldies Sunday selection comes from Puerto Rican boy band Menudo with the track, “If You’re Not Here (By My Side)“.

Produced by Edgardo Díaz and Mary Lynne M. Pagan, “If You’re Not Here” was released through RCA Records in 1984. The track is the English version of the Spanish single titled “Si Tú No Estás“, which was featured on the band’s 1983 Spanish album, “A Todo Rock“. The track was a love song that was lead by then member of the band Robby Rosa a.k.a. Draco Rosa about having that special person in his life, and things would not be the same without her especially during touring. This was a track that would connect with young Women, and it became a popular one in various parts of the world (including Jamaica), and was performed during live performances despite not charting high on (#36 on the US R&B Billboard charts, #102 on the US Hot 100 Billboard charts). “If You’re Not Here” was featured on the band’s 1984 English album, “Reaching Out“.

Menudo has been considered one of the biggest Latin boy bands in history with over 20 Million records sold. The band was also the starting point for Ricky Martin, who was a member for a few years during his youth and went on to have a very successful solo career. Since the release of “If You’re Not Here”, Menudo went through various lineup changes, breakups, reunions, controversies, and the death of two former members (Ray Reyes and Anthony Galindo). Regardless of all Menudo went through, many people around the world still play their music, including “If You’re Not Here (By My Side)”.

Dancehall Artist Brysco has been making it happen with his collection of singles and visual content in the past few months, and his fanbase has been steadily growing. Thanks to Social Media platforms TikTok and Instagram, he has been gaining a huge buzz thanks to a preview of the single, “Code“. Today, he finally gives us the track in full.

Produced by DJ Mac, 3KMG, and Josh Skull Records, Brysco saw the snippet of “Code” grow in such a big way in a very short amount of time. Seeing that it was the right moment for release, Brysco unleashed a music video directed by 9Mile Visuals that finds him living life in “Sport Mode“. Brysco is expected to release more music in the coming days, and looks forward to the support through Social Media, and prominent platforms.

Whether you like it or not, the “Chop” era of Dancehall is gonna be here for a while. Though made popular by Artists like Xclusiv, Squash, Daddy1, Gold Gad, and a few others, it has brought on controversies, numerous discussions, and a new group of Artists who share commentary on the lifestyle of a Jamaican Scammer. Social Media Comedian turned Recording Artist Swizzz a.k.a. Swizzle Di Optimist steps in with his style on the new track, “Weh Mi Duh“.

Over a Shabria Entertainment production, Swizzz plays the role of a “top choppa” on the track as he gives listeners an inside look at the day to day life of a Scammer. From the days of never attending school, to being involved in scamming activities to make ends meet, to enjoying the spoils of his work, Swizzz is living it up on “Weh Mi Duh”. Accompanying the single is a music video directed by Rave Entertainment that further illustrates his “choppa” lifestyle. Swizzz is a newcomer to the music scene having released singles since 2020, but has been one of Social Media personalities who has utilized platforms like Instagram and TikTok to push content that at times have gone viral.
