Usain Bolt and NJ release the "Country Yutes" album on 13thStreetPromotions.com #Jamaica #UsainBolt

The “Country Yutes” @UsainBolt & NJ Made An Album!

He dominated Track & Field, and he became a global Icon, and a household name. Usain Bolt has done what many aspire to do in a short amount of time, and he’s from Jamaica! Now retired, he sought to dabble in music, and has seen some success. He takes it a step further with the release of the album, “Country Yutes“.

Featuring his friend and collaborator Nugent “NJ” Walker, “Country Yutes” shows that everything Usain Bolt touches, will eventually turn into gold. While there are naysayers who doubt his foray into music, you can’t deny that the party boy will make songs for people to enjoy. He brought a few friends (“Bibi” Gardner, Kamal Evans, Jae Xo, Karanja Nelson, and NJJ) along for the ride, and gave us 14 tracks. Usain Bolt is not the first Athlete who fell into the music lane (“Bibi” Gardner is a Footballer), and that line is a long and historic one. You know the Schweppes, Bolt is bringing the A-Team Lifestyle to your speakers. Here’s to hoping he makes a small return to the other track as he’s missed over there (crossing fingers).

Vybz Kartel & @GovanaGenna Drop New Albums For 2020!

Two Dancehall giants leveled up for the 2020 with the release of albums. First off, we have Vybz Kartel’sTo: Tanesha” project, and then Govana with his debut album, “Humans And Monsters Are Not The Same“. Featuring 10 tracks, “To: Tanesha” finds Vybz Kartel being vulnerable and pouring his heart out throughout. For those unaware, Tanesha “Shorty” Johnson is Vybz’s Common-Law Wife, and the mother of 3 of his sons (two of which are Recording Artists Likkle Vybz and Likkle Addi). While their relationship has been a topic of rumor mills, Vybz found himself letting it all out through songs. The album also features appearances from Jada Kingdom, Slimatic, Jodi Couture, Jesse Royal, and Sikka Rymes.

Govana’s “H.A.M.A.N.T.S.” features 14 tracks, and finds him delivering motivational songs, gyal tunes, party tracks, and giving us a lil Social Commentary. Originally known as Deablo, he is a member of Aidonia’s 4th Genna camp, and has been enjoying a rapid run since the name change. For many, this album was highly anticipated and promises to be a repeater. The album features appearances by Tarrus Riley, Dre Island, and Protoje.

Mixing Lab & @RoRoJammings Deliver The Genre-Bending Beatbox Album, “Mini Stereo”!

Make the music with your mouth…” – Biz Markie

While many of us utilized Desks and tabletops to provide the instrumentations for our Dancehall clashes and freestyle Rap sessions at School or on the corner, there are those who possessed the ability to make music with their mouths. Dervin Lee a.k.a. “Mixing Lab” is one of those with that unique ability. Having impressed many near and far with the skill of recreating some of your favourite beats, and creating new ones on the spot through Beatboxing, Mixing Lab decides to take it further with the release of his debut album, “Mini-Stereo“!

Done in collaboration with RoRo Jammings Productions, they dabble in Dancehall, Afrobeat, Reggae, Calypso, Hip Hop, Dubstep, and many other genres on a project that will have your attention from the Artist filled Intro, to the Dubstep/Calypso/Dancehall hybrid on track 10! The album even has something for the Gaming community thanks to a track titled, “Kayo“. Known as “The Beatbox Machine“, Mixing Lab has worked with Alozade, Beenie Man, Bounty Killa, and has showcased his talents at various events over the years. The “Mini-Stereo” album is considered the first of its kind in the Caribbean, and Mixing Lab joins the list of Artists who have studied the art of Beatboxing like Biz Markie, Doug E. Fresh, and Rahzel.

Mixing Lab and RoRo Jammings’ “Mini-Stereo” is now available on Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, Amazon Music, Napster, and all other popular Music Streaming platforms. Hear the album first below, and share with a friend. Show us some love/follow us on Twitter and Instagram at @13thStreetPromo.

Tune In To Shawn Storm’s “Real Life, Vol. 1” Project

It’s not often you hear of an Incarcerated Recording Artist consistently releasing music. Vybz Kartel has been very busy with it, but his fellow Gaza Artist Shawn Storm is trying to get on that level. Both Artists have been given their respective sentences in 2014, and while the supporters are campaigning for their freedom, the Artists are recording to keep their names out their, and stay above the madness of their situation. Shawn Storm keeps his head high with the release of “Real Life, Vol. 1“.

Released through A. Records, “Real Life, Vol. 1” is a compilation of Shawn Storm tunes that will keep his name relevant in the streets while he lives his day to day life behind bars. The 14 track project looks to be a great addition to the collection of every Gaza fan, and if things go in the right direction, we’ll be getting more from Sivva. The project follows up his 2017 “The Real Sivva” album. Keep the music in rotation. Stream the project below, and show us some love on Instagram at @13thStreetPromo.
