Fame is a helluva drug, and it comes at a high price. While many wish to reach that larger than life level, sometimes it costs friendships, family, and even morals. Many who have done everything to achieve fame later regretted it. Tonight we’re not gonna get too preachy, it’s all about the music coming from Jamaican born, Bronx based, Hood Celebrityy. Grabbing the reigns of French Montana’s “Famous“, she tackles it with her blend of Dancehall/Hip Hop. Highlighting how people treat you when you’re famous, she adds that they’ll never love you as well as those who genuinely care for you. The track was produced by Rico Love, DTownThaGreat, and DanjaHandz, and the original is featured on French’s “Jungle Rules” Album. Previewed earlier on a few Radio stations locally and overseas, it was met with mostly positive reviews. Fame can really change a person, stay home with me. Shabba Ranks Sampled Track Featured In Awkward New @DietCoke Commercial
It’s that time again (for those who watch it), for the NFL Super Bowl! In it’s 52nd presentation, fans witness the duel between the New England Patriots, and the Philadelphia Eagles. There are also those who tune in for the moneymaker, the Commercials! One Commercial that popped up was an awkward one by Beverage giant Coca Cola as they presented their latest flavours in their Diet Coke line. Featuring the Mango flavour, ears perked up as a familiar voice was heard in the ad’s music, Dancehall legend Shabba Ranks! The Deejay appears as a sample from Scottish DJ/Producer Sam Gellaitry’s 2015 single, “Long Distance“. The track is featured on the DJ’s debut project, “Escapism” and samples Shabba Ranks’ vocals from his 1988 single “Telephone Love Deh Pon Mi Mind“, a remix to Singer JC Lodge’s hugely popular “Telephone Love“. While the Commercial was not the greatest way to promote a drink, we enjoyed the music. Check out the Commercial below!

.@DiRealShaggy & @OfficialSting Perform “Don’t Make Me Wait” At 60th Grammys!
The 60th Grammy Awards event was a memorable one for many. While some went home with awards, there were others who got “robbed“, and others performed and made an impact. It was all fun when Host James Corden teamed up with International Recording Artists Shaggy and Sting for a special version of “Carpool Karaoke“. With the location of the Grammys being in New York, they took it to the Subway to perform a 3 man version of Shaggy and Sting’s new single, “Don’t Make Me Wait“. The performance was met with boos however as passengers weren’t enjoying Corden’s contribution. Being persistent, Corden continued to perform with them only to end up with a bloody nose.
The 2nd half of Shaggy & Sting’s appearance found them being introduced at the Grammys by Corden for a real performance of their new single. It first kicked off with Sting performing his classic “Englishman In New York” which followed by Shaggy appearing onstage later. With many mistaking Shaggy for Rapper Jim Jones because of his appearance, the performance was an awesome one, and definitely had people looking forward to their “44/876” project which has a April 20 release date. @MGeeMusic Calls For Peace In “Stop The Violence” Single
Jamaica started off 2018 on a bad note if we’re being honest. The surge of crime and violence continues to make its move on the Island, and it was shown in the number of incidents in the first 25 days. It is time we look into ourselves and try to make a change, but it’ll take some time for us to get it right. Spreading a message in his music today is Recording Artist M-Gee with “Stop The Violence“. Produced by GS Music Entertainment, M-Gee shares being tired of hearing bad news, attending Funerals, and posting “R.I.P.” messages. He calls for those participating in crimes to look into themselves to do better as too many innocent people are being taken down. He also asks the question of who supplies the weapons as those living in the Ghetto are not responsible for carrying them in. Our culture is filled with unique Food, Fashion, Art, and Music that is recognized the world over, Crime and Violence should not be a part of it. Give peace a chance! M-Gee’s new single is distributed through Zojak Worldwide with assistance from Suss Media, and is available on iTunes for purchase. Check out the track below.
