.@WSTRNMusic Teams Up With @Skillibeng On “Unload (Reload)”!

UK based collective WSTRN are stepping out with new music. The past few months saw them keeping their name hot with audio and visual content, and they’re looking to follow up their 2019 project, WSTRN Season, Vol. 2. They set the tone with the new track, “Unload (Reload)“.

Produced by PRGRSHN and featuring Dancehall Artist Skillibeng, WSTRN are having fun over some solid production. Paired with Skilli’s signature flow, “Unload (Reload)” sounds like a hit. WSTRN previously collaborated with the likes of Lila Ike, Alkaline, and Stalk Ashley, and with Skilli blazing every path he’s brought to, we expect this collaboration to do very well. Skillibeng has been making plenty noise overseas this year and shutting down stages, and we look forward to what other high profile collabs are up his sleeve.

OLDIES SUNDAY: Snagga Puss – “Tatie” (1994)

We’re in the 90s, where music enjoyed a season of fusions, the fashion was flashy, and the vibes were right. In Jamaica, it was a time where Dancehall and Hip Hop were always in the studio and making noise overseas, many legends just got their official start, and many dances were created. For today’s “Oldies Sunday” selection, we highlight Snagga Puss (formerly known as Dickie Ranking), and his single, “Tatie“!

Produced by Patrick Roberts for the Shocking Vibes label and released in 1994, Snagga Puss joined in on the fun and created a song for a dance called the “Tatie”. Snagga Puss’ persona and delivery were inspired by the Cartoon character Snagglepuss, and helped to make “Tatie” a hit. “Tatie” was featured on Snagga Puss’ 1995 album, “Reggae Funky“. “Tatie” the dance became popular with the youth, and joined the list of prominent dances including the “Bogle“, “Butterfly“, “Peppaseed“, and “World Dance“. Like many dances of the past, “Tatie” has been remixed and renamed a few times over the years. A music video for the track was made in support of “Tatie”, and it was directed by the legendary “BigDaddyLeoO’Reggio, and featured the late Media Personality, Basil “Bagga” Brown.

Since the release of “Tatie”, Snagga Puss has enjoyed a career with a few hits and memorable dances. He is still active, and has been flexing his entrepreneurial muscle over the years. His distinct sound is still remembered, and “Tatie” is loved by many who were there when it made its debut.

Thank You Snagga Puss For This Classic!

Chxpz & Gold Gad Battle It Out On “Choppa Vs Artist”!

There will always be money debates coming from these type of people: The ones who have it, the ones who don’t have it, and the ones who pretend to have it. Social Media gets flooded with Hustlers, “Gurus”, Scammers, and folks with wild imaginations who will tell you their way is the only way to be successful, and get rich. In the music scene, we have Artists and Scammers having competitions to see who has the bigger bankroll, with the public picking their own winner. Today, Recording Artists Chxpz and Gold Gad battle it out on “Choppa Vs Artist“.

With a video directed by 4 Cawna Visual, Chxpz and Gold Gad trade bars about who lives the richer life, a successful Recording Artist, or a Scammer a.k.a. a “Choppa“. One lives to create music, perform it, and collect the benefits from doing so, while the other performs rituals, and uses various unethical methods to ensure their pockets are loaded with money, and they can live the life they want to. One says he can sleep comfortably knowing he got his money in a way with no repercussions, the other strongly believes he’ll never be broke and will always live the best life. It’s a never-ending battle between the Choppas and the Artists, but whatever side you chose, make sure it’s a safe one. Chxpz and Gold Gad have been enjoying success in their respective careers, gaining large followings in the process. The collaboration shows that they go well together, and we look forward to more from them.
