They say Jamaicans are nuff, and to be honest, it’s an understatement. Over the years, there have been collaborations and fusions with International music genres, and now Dancehall Music has extended a branch for more fusions. Canada-based group LTL, known for their viral single “Dagga Riddim“, are now diversifying their sound. This time around, they tap into an older music genre for their new single, “BNB“.
Produced by Jojo You Made That, LTL mixes Dancehall and Disco on the new single, “BNB”, The group, consisting of One Don, Yung 2nuff, Topman Meeko, Erin B, and Enzooo, all bring the energy here for a single aimed at the ladies. While the “Disco” sound isn’t the sound from the 70s, it’s a more modern vibe that could bring out the Disco ball, bell bottom pants, big hair, and high heel steppers to the dance floor. The production reminds me of the theme song for “That’s So Raven” or even Drake’s “Cheetah Print”, but it’s energetic, and gels well with the lyrics the Artists bring forth. Another example of Jamaicans making music that’s beyond the usual genres, and scoring big with them. Expect a Disco-themed music video in the future.
