Tonight on Onstage, DJ Jabba of Hot 97, Massive B Sound, and Irie Jam Radio (to name a few of his many platforms) was a guest. Here he spoke about visiting his mother, being born in New York and his upbringing in Jamaica, his upcoming “Best of the Best” concert, thoughts on the Vybz Kartel trial and how it affects Dancehall Music worldwide, how promoting Dancehall Music differs in the U.S. and the difficulties faced when it comes to crossing over. Not a bad interview here, Jabba has been one of the top DJs overseas to bring the best of Dancehall to the streets and airwaves. Since Vybz Kartel’s guilty verdict a few days ago, members of the music fraternity and fans worldwide are still feeling the hit. Being one of the greats, Vybz has always had a solid work ethic when it came to recording songs.
