Recording Artists High On Fi and JKinggz on the other hand have a treat for the ladies who have their special day today in the form of a new single. Titled “Birthday“, this was produced by AlexayBeats and brings the Afrobeat and Hip Hop vibe to your party! In the video, directed by EAD, the Artists along with some beauties throw a party in a Hotel room filled with music, good vibes, party favors, and of course a few cakes. No matter where you are in the world, “Birthday” is a great addition to the playlist for your party, or that “Birthday sex” session (wink wink). With High On Fi and JKinggz hailing from Nigeria and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines respectively, they bring their Island and African sounds along with their Hip Hop influences to every track they make. Based in New York, they have previously worked on the singles “Dat Guy”, and “Used To”. Go shorty, it’s your Birthday! Check out the new single below!

@OfficialWayneJ Shines As Ambassador At United Nations Conference In Germany!

Recording Artist Wayne J may have gained a buzz thanks to being one of the brightest youngest Deejays in the past few years, but he also wants to make a positive change in the world. Recently, the Youth Ambassador of the Alligator Head Foundation represented Jamaica as a member of the COP23 Jamaica Delegation at the UNFCCC (United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change) Conference in Bonn, Germany. Invited through a collaboration between the United Nations and Australia’s TBA21 Academy, Wayne J served as the youngest member at the Conference which gathered over 30,000 people from all over the world to share and develop new ideas in order to meet the goals of the Paris Climate Change Agreement.

During his visit and presentation, Wayne J delivered great points and make it clear that in moving forward “Everyone should have an understanding in how to approach the changes in our Planet”. The Ambassador added the importance of Conservation, and encouraged all in attendance to create more strategies in preserving and protecting the Earth. He is set to visit the Fiji Islands and other parts of the World as a part of his duties as Ambassador in the coming weeks.

While Wayne J has released a few singles this year and made a few appearances locally, he is set to continue making his Artist side be heard in 2018 with the singles “TOM” and “Better Days”. He is also working on an EP to drop sometime later next year.

Nothing like shooting a video in Jamaica, right? Well popular Reggaeton Artist Ozuna, and the “Queen Of The BX” a.k.a. “Bardi” a.k.a. Cardi B, released the visual to their latest collaboration titled “La Modelo” (Model). Directed by Dimelo Vi, and shot in Portland (including the World famous Trident Hotel), Ozuna stays fresh on the scene and gets cozy with Cardi while she oozes sex appeal in every scene. The video also features some great shots of the area throughout, and the addition of Dancers add to the vibe of the Dancehall inspired single. Fans will be pleased to hear Cardi singing a few notes as well. Cardi has been having an amazing year filled with Billboard top spots, Grammy Noms, and a lot of buzz coming her way. Ozuna continues to soar in stardom, and is riding high off the release of his latest EP, “Odisea“. Check out the visual below.

Jamaican Twitter Pays Tribute To Ian Boyne!

Monday December 18, was a sad day for many as news came of the passing of celebrated Journalist/Author/TV Host Ian Boyne. Tributes poured in and showed how loved and respected he was as he made contributions to not only Media, but his impact on the lives of everyone who has watched his work, had a conversation with him, or was even granted the opportunity to be interviewed by him on his various Programmes (Profile, Issues & Answers, Religious Hard Talk to name a few). One area where the tributes came in yesterday was from Social Media platform, Twitter. From colleagues to those who grew up on his work, they spoke on his influence on their lives, having aspirations to be interviewed on “Profile”, and even jokingly pictured him conducting “Profile” in Heaven. Months ago we featured “Chill Suite” by Rappers Daley and Chance. Since then, they have been working on pushing the single out there more. More recently however, they’ve been working on a Music Video for the single and we have some Behind The Scene flicks courtesy of Romario Lynch a.k.a. “Seen By Lynch“. With the finished product seeing an early 2018 release, we get an idea of what’s to come including beautiful women, chill vibes, and some Island flavour as the video was shot in Portland. “Chill Suite” is available here, but you can see some photos below!

Jamaica Born/UK based Singer/Songwriter Denai Moore released her sophomore Album, “We Used To Bloom” earlier this year. Featuring her dose of inspirational and therapeutic sounds, many sung its praises and caught Denai’s live performances since its release. Something that enables many to love the music more is the behind the scenes, and Denai satisfied that sector with the release of her Short Film, “We Used To Bloom“. While she shares her experiences, viewers get a BTS look at her creative process including getting the lyrics together and assisting in putting the sounds together.
