Jamaican Twitter was in an uproar today as BuzzFeed posted an article titled “27 Essential Jamaican Recipes You Need In Your Life“. The article was made to show the fascinating food that Jamaicans made that were either new to readers, or a favourite for others. Things went left as many were vocal about poor recipes, and the writer’s lack of research. Below are some of the reactions.

Yesterday, the good folks at Irie FM paid tribute to a Hero worldwide, Marcus Mosiah Garvey. Featuring Interviews, discussions and musical tributes, it was a great day to honour a great man before his birthday (which is today). Make some space for this event as it was a pretty lengthy one. Accompanied by Anarchie, he spoke about new music, his absence from Reggae Sumfest, walking a new path, bouncing back from a drought, his Instagram comment about Vybz Kartel, his thoughts on Aidonia’s recent comments, his feud with Mavado, welcoming Tommy Lee Sparta’s recent gesture, his issue with Tony Matterhorn, ending feuds with Beenie Man and their roles as Dancehall vets, his son Major Myjah, wanting his Visa back and more.
