“Jamaica is a BIG deal” according to KFC Jamaica and Reggae/Dancehall Artist Christopher Martin. Promoting Jamaican Pride, the Island’s 54th year of Independence, and Jamaica’s participation in Rio 2016, they’ve teamed up for a new campaign. In the video, directed by Tanya E. Taylor while ZJ Bambino handled the lyrics and production of the song, Chris is joined by a crowd of Flag wavers and Dancers as they celebrate Jamaica at a KFC location. In the song, Chris promotes Jamaican pride by mentioning the great things the Island has contributed to the world and stating that “We likkle but we tallawah!“. As a part of their campaign, KFC has a limited run of specially marked food boxes pushing the #FullAhPride hashtag and decorated in Black, Gold & Green. Show off your love for Jamaica this Independence Day and wave your Flags high! Let’s go Team Jamaica! Check out the video below and share your thoughts in the comments section.
Today’s new video comes from the Gully God Mavado and Nicki Minaj. Titled “Give It All To Me” and directed by Grizz Lee, it’s one big party filled with dancers, liqour bottles, and Mavado stealing someone’s girl in the end. It was cool seeing Nicki and Vado waving their Caribbean flags and Keiva making an appearance. While i’m glad Mavado is getting some well needed looks, I just felt this music video could be better. It’s a YMCMB, Mansion Records, We The Best, and Cash Money thing! Check out the video below and share your thoughts in the comments section.
Hey peeps, hope you all are well. I know there are many of us who blog for monetary/personal gains, and blog for the hell of it. Today I just want to express how proud I am of my blogsite and the fact that some of my material made it to local channel TVJ‘s morning time program called, “Smile Jamaica“. Material from my It’s A Jamaica 50 Thing! series was displayed in their “Raising Civic Pride” feature (click here). While it may not be a big deal to some, to me it’s a great feeling to see something you put alot of effort into being appreciated by others. Thanks to Simone Clarke-Cooper, Archibald Gordon and other members of staff from Television Jamaica. Once again thank you to the followers of my blog, your support is very appreciated. One word: GREATNESS. Much love to our Jamaican athletes that took on the many challenges that were handed to them at the London 2012 Olympics. Our little Island in the sun has become a BIG black green and gold sign for the world to take notice of. This was more than a present for celebrating 50 years of Independence.
Hey guys! Today I will present the 2nd part in my “It’s A @Jamaica50_ Thing!” series. Today I will feature parts of May Pen, Clarendon. Check out the pictures below and share your thoughts in the comments section.
