After teasing fans with the behind the scenes and trailer videos, I Octane and KyMani Marley have finally released “A Yah Wi Deh“. Directed by Bling Blang (Sasha Bling) and shot in Tower Hill, we hear the artists dropping lyrics about the struggles and being on the battlefield while we see scenes of people doing what they can to survive in the ghetto. We also see scenes of the artists performing for the people and also partying with them in the end. A great effort here, Bling Blang did a good job as it’s very clean and this marks as another hit on her list. I Octane’s “My Journey” is in stores now. Very soon the phrase, “Talk up di things dem, Talk It Out!” will be heard everywhere thanks to Danielle D.I. and Tiana’s new single, “Talk It Out“. Produced by Sly and Robbie, the “Rebel” and the “Duchess” were working on the music video recently and fans will see it for the first time this weekend. The video, which was directed by Carlington Wilmot of OutARoad Pictures and shot at the Glitzzy Hair Store and the Palisadoes Strip, features the artists being as sexy as they want to be while “Talking Up Di Tings“. This single will be available on iTunes on April 15. Check out pictures from day one of the video shoot below and share your thoughts in the comments section.

Before I Octane releases his “My Journey” album on March 4, he teamed up with Livity Movements to present a sampler mix. Consisting of “My Journey” album cuts, this provides listeners an idea of what’s coming in the full length effort. With production by DJ Frass, this promises to be a great listen. Today’s new video comes from Kabaka Pyramid and Jahdan Blakkamoore. Titled “For The Children” and shot in California, we hear the two lyricists promote consciousness and encouraging self-reliance for the ghetto youths out there who are facing struggles. A very positive song that should uplift all who take a listen to it. I like how children took part in the video as well. Spread your wings and fly. The song, produced by Zion I Kings,
With a mix of Reggae and Hip Hop comes the collaboration between Hip Hop duo Smif-N-Wessun and Jahdan in the form of a lyric video. Titled “Kamikaze“, a single off Smif-N-Wessun’s Reggae inspired “Born and Raised” EP, they speak on how they live their everyday lives while Jahdan handles the hook duties over a Reggae tinged instrumental. Not a bad effort from the artists, hopefully they release a real video for this single. Smif-N-Wessun aren’t new to the Reggae scene as they’ve collaborated with Bounty Killa under the moniker “Cocoa Brovaz” for the classic “It’s A Party“.
