NEW VIDEO: @LattyJWorld – Bumpa

BumpaLa

This goes out to all the ladies with a large derriere! After premiering her music video on Hype TV, the public can now watch Latty J’sBumpa“. Directed by Terminal 4 Media, this was shot at an undisclosed location, a garage and the Palisadoes Strip. In the video Latty gets ready to hit the airport with her friends (A preview of “Teenie” was featured), while making their way to their destination they met in an accident and the only way they could rectify the situation was to thrill the motorist with their bumpers. Lots of booty shaking in this one, and the single is a fun one to listen to. If I was the Police Officer who came all the way to the strip on a bike only to be turned back, I’d be pissed. Look out for more from Latty J this year. Check out the video below and share your thoughts in the comments section.

PRESS RELEASE: @NomadCarlos Releases “Los Pollos Hermanos” (L.P.H.)

LPH

“The finest ingredients are brought together with love and care, then slow cooked to perfection. Yes, the old ways are still best at Los Pollos Hermanos. But don’t take my word for it. One taste, and you’ll know.”—Gustavo Fring

Thanks to benchmark releases from Kendrick Lamar, Drake, and Kanye West, hip-hop has restored its once prominent ties to the music of Jamaica. Nomad Carlos is one of the only hip-hop artist from Jamaica, creating music fused with the cultures of Reggae and Dancehall. “What’s more authentic than me doing it?” offers the veteran artist, “Not to sound cocky, but I’m truly from there”.

Listening, let alone making hip-hop is not the norm in Kingston. At the age of five, when the Miami, Florida-born MC named Damon (“Nomad” spelled backwards) moved back to his parents’ homeland, he absorbed the world around him. Living in the capital city’s uptown section, and schooled in one its poorest ghettos of Downtown Kingston, Nomad Carlos was a student of the game; both in and out the classroom—merging Jamaican’s own Reggae and Dancehall compositions with the American art form and applying it to his very unique surroundings.

As one of the only working hip-hop artists from Jamaica, a decade later (and with several projects already under his belt) Nomad Carlos has proved that his vision was in fact crazy innovative.

Now focused on his new upcoming full-length LP, Distants (which will be released on 4-28-15), Nomad Carlos releases the first-single, “L.P.H.” (Los Pollos Hermanos) from the project; which takes a concept from “Breaking Bad” and cleverly flips it on its head.

@PayAttentionJA PROMO: @Sef_Jo Interviews @larzdeadline

LarzDeadline

LaronLive Love Laugh
When it comes down to it, the game of emcees will not and is not made for every living soul out here. Any class of elites that exists does not need to prove that they are elite, they just are. #PayAttention boasts of being Jamaica’s premier Hip-Hop event, where is the contention? If you ask me, those bragging rights are fully legit and unchallenged.

Laron, CEO/Founder of Deadline Promotions, has few words but is a major player to know.

Q: Deadline Sound has been working closely with #PayAttention since it’s inception. What has the experience been like carrying Jamaica’s largest Hip-Hop movement?

A: It has been a great experience and a great journey with the 1st Coast Massive. Deadline Sound represents for music and especially if that music comes from our own island shores. I have seen the #PayAttention movement grow and it continues to grow. I can only say: we are privileged to be apart of the movement!

Q: You’re well ingrained in Jamaica’s entertainment business; through the ups and downs that the 1st Coast Movement endures can you comment on the progress that you’ve seen over the years?

Inztinkz

“International expansion was in our plans from day one” – @Inztinkz

Less than a week away, #PayAttention patrons should expect a fully revamped show kick-started by a complete change of venue. Often times big changes like this can mean detrimental losses, however, the show subtly made their maneuvers and are once again back at it hosting Kingston’s premier Hip-Hop event. The only way forward is up, in my humble opinion.

Producer Inztinkz is ready to show me what the new setup is all about

Q: I’d call you the technical audio director of #PayAttention; a long-standing organizer of the show. Briefly update me about the progression #PayAttention has been going through lately.

A: Lately, #PayAttention has been going through a lot; we recently decided to change venues.  The next staging of #PayAttention on March 28th will be held at our new venue Club Eutopia in New Kingston. We decided to try out a different vibe, open our doors to performers outside of Kingston that we have always wanted to feature.  Look out for continued progress from #PayAttention as we continue to achieve goals and shatter perceptions.
