It’s a new day for Dancehall Artist Govana, and his moves will take him to levels beyond the ceiling. As one of the formidable lyricists, when he’s not constructing deadly verses, he’s getting the ladies in the mood with some selection from his stash. This time, he’s building on an already solid foundation with his sophomore album, “Legacy“.

Featuring 12 tracks, Govana is making some of his best music on “Legacy”. Following up the 2020 debut album, “Humans And Monsters Are Not The Same“, Govi Govi is not playing around. Whether you get the gyallis, hints of “Deablo“, or the StrikeForce Boss, “Legacy” has you covered for the Govana experience. Production on the album include the likes of Raheef Muzik Group, Crash Dummy Productions, Chimney Records, Emudio Records, Daseca, Hemton Music, and Attomatic Records, while Popcaan, Jada Kingdom, Skeng, Mavado, and Aidonia join in on some special selections. The Summer is around the corner, and there are two people who seek to own it. After not collaborating for a number of years, Mavado and Stephen “Di Genius” McGregor reunite for a new single that is bound to make plenty noise. They get things started in, “Bubble & Brace“.

For the ladies who know that they possess a special kind of beauty, and know how to be the centre of attention, Mavado and Di Genius have their sights set on you in “Bubble & Brace”. Inspired by 80s Pop Music, Di Genius provides the right sound that allows Mavado to reel the ladies in, and giving the people a hit for 2024. The “Gully Gad” and Di Genius never made a bad track, and we hope there are more collaborations in store. Everything comes to life with the help of Shane Creative for the Music Video, and it will have everyone staring especially at the lovely ladies featured. The “Gully Gad” Mavado returns with new music. The Deejay has been described as a column in Dancehall, and thanks to his catalogue, they’re not wrong about that. Despite all the hits, achievements, and milestones, there are many who still speak negatively about him. Nonetheless, he has some words for the haters on, “No Sorry“.

Produced by Son Son Productions and Mansion Records, Mavado is not sorry the way he is, and reflects on the times when he was at his lowest, crediting God for bringing him to the position where he’s successful. For the haters, he tells them that they can’t stop his progress, and they can say and do whatever, but he will always be moving forward, and dealing with their negativity in his own way. Mavado has been the topic of many negative news and smear campaigns over the years, but he continued to rise above the madness, and make efforts to better the life for himself and family, and the fans and supporters great music. Big up the “Gully Gad”.

It’s never easy when it comes to dealing with loss. When we can no longer reach out to a loved one, many of us are left with just memories of time spent with them. Dancehall Artists Mavado and Jahshii have dealt with their share of losses, and share some words together on the new single, “Tears“.

Directed by Now Or Never, Mavado and Jahshii reflect on some of the people closest to them who are no longer here. Together they share melodies and heartfelt lyrics over production by Damage Musiq. The collaboration has been anticipated for quite some time, and we look forward to more from the Gully Gad and the First Nation Boss. Mavado has been busy getting back into Dancehall with a handful of singles, while Jahshii recently teamed up with Masicka on “Pieces“, and is taking his music to new listeners through a series of performances in Jamaica, and the rest of the Caribbean. Say a prayer for a loved one you lost.

Today, November 30, we celebrate the birthday of a Dancehall legend. Many know of his many aliases including Mavado the Gully Gad, but his parents named him David Constantine Brooks! Mavado celebrates another year of life on Earth, and we celebrate his many works with our newest Playlist in a long while called, “Gully Forever: The Mavado Playlist“!

For over 9 hours, we bring to you some of Mavado’s greatest tracks. From breakout singles, to International collaborations, to even beef tracks, Mavado has done a lot of work for Jamaican music. Mavado has been influential to the culture, and has his place in being a part of one of Dancehall’s greatest beefs with Vybz Kartel, and forming an alliance that has divided Jamaicans for a long time. Salute Mavado wherever he is!
