VegasYesterday on Hot 97, Mr. Vegas made a guest appearance. Not a stranger to the radio station, he spoke to Cipha Sounds and Old Man Ebro about his origins including his stage names, his well publicized relationship woe and not seeing his daughter, his thoughts on Vybz Kartel’s trial and the guilty verdict, Buju Banton being in jail, trying to avoid getting in trouble, showing respect to Bounty Killa, his recording process, and highlighting that Jamaica has a lot of talent. Not a bad interview here, what I commend him for is despite having a feud with Bounty Killa, he shows him respect here and not throw him under a bus. Despite going through a terrible experience last year, and being involved with a couple feuds, Mr. Vegas had a chat with Winford Williams on Onstage to address a few things. Here he spoke about his ordeal with his child’s mother and taking care of a few things a year later, his Social Media activities, his feuds with Bounty Killa and Tony Matterhorn, his music including his new album “Bruk It Dung 2.0“, missing a chance to be on the BET Awards, reconciling with Sean Paul, and future projects. Tony Matterhorn is at it again and as usual he doesn’t give a you know what! Titled “Tweet War” and produced by SocialYaad Records, he recalls the recent twitter beef with deejays Bounty Killa and Mr. Vegas. He also deejays his take on it and gets at them. Matterhorn has always been one to speak his mind and takes no prisoners but is this a call out that would turn into a clash at Sting? Interesting Interview from Shaggy although sometimes I was weirded out by the “twang” and the generic questions. That was a crazy story with him and the late James Brown. Today’s new music comes from two veterans in Dancehall Music, Barrington Levy and Mr. Vegas. Titled “Love The Way She Love” and produced by Black Roses and Platinum Camp, we hear the two artists showing love and appreciation for their significant others. This single is a part of Barrington Levy’s first album in 20 years, “Licensed To Thrill“. This is not the first time I’m hearing Mr. Levy on autotune but it’s cool that he embraces modern styles and the collaboration with Mr. Vegas isn’t bad. What do you think?
