@DenaiMoore Heads To The Motherland For Her “Desolately Devoted” Visual!

Introducing to the Blog today is a young lady who goes by the name, Denai Moore. She has been doing her thing for quite a while overseas, but she calls Jamaica the land of her birth. Recently, she released her 2nd Album titled We Used To Bloom” (Get It Here). Today, I present to you a visual from that Album titled “Desolately Devoted“. Directed by Travys Owen and shot in the South African Desert, Denai speaks on the good and bad feelings associated with wanting to be with someone. It’s always two sides when it comes to relationships, you either want to go with it, or you hold back because you don’t want to let down your guard. In the video we see her oozing with “Black Girl Magic” as she makes various colourful outfit changes to blend with the breathtaking backdrops. No more talking, feast your eyes on a great visual below!

@Protoje Stirs The Pot Again With The Official Video For “Blood Money”!

After waking up Jamaica with his crimson tinged single earlier this year, the official visual for Protoje’sBLXXD MONEY” is finally here! Directed by Che Kothari with Production by Claire Osman, viewers get a glimpse of the many forms of corruption, a broader look than the lyrics which spoke about corruption in high places, and the various turns made throughout its running time. The video targets every class, and those who practice the dirty ways will eventually see a fall. A statement making song that turned into a powerful video, more like “What A BLXXDCLXXT Film“! Watch the visual below.

@JeebyLyricist Exposes The Other Side Of His Hometown in “Mobaby”!

Jamaica, Land We Love. Many outsiders know of the Resorts, the Beaches, living the “Island Life“, but there’s another side to our beautiful Island that is at times exposed. Following the death of a close friend, Recording Artist and Montego Bay, St. James resident Jeeby Lyricist released the visuals for “Mobaby“. Featuring Miss Jamaica Universe 2016 Isabel Dalley, and various clips highlighting Montego Bay in recent times, the visual sheds a light on both the beautiful and ugly sides of this location as it’s a haven for Tourists and great Businesses, but a place where Crime has been a huge thorn in its side. Delivered over a beat remake of Jidenna’s “Bambi” from The Kash, this has been a favourite of ours for the month and the song can be seen on the same level as Protoje’s “BLXXD MONEY”. Would be dope to get more verses from Artists representing other locations (Artists where are you?). R.I.P. Jayson Barnes and all the fallen Mobabies. Watch the video below.

Jay-Z Gets A Music History Lesson With @DamianMarley & Sister Nancy In “BAM”!

They call him “Hov“, they say he’s not a Businessman, he’s a Business…man, but we know him as Jay-Z! Recently he released his 13th studio album titled, “4:44 (Buy Here)“, and many were blown away by the direction he took with the content. One of the standouts however is “BAM (Get It Here)“, his collaboration with the “Gongzilla“, Damian “Junior Gong” Marley, combined with the sampling one of the most sampled Dancehall singles of all time, “Bam Bam (Get It Here)” by the iconic Sister Nancy. Today, they unleashed the visuals for that track. Directed by Rohan Blair-Mangat and shot during Jay’s recent visit to Jamaica, we get a glimpse of Kingston including the iconic Trench Town, the infamous Tuff Gong Studio, and guest cameos included Hip Hop Producer Young Guru, Recording Artist Kabaka Pyramid, Junior Reid, Former Miss World (and Damian’s Mama) Cindy Breakspeare, and the elements of what makes our music culture so amazing!
