(The Artists mentioned aren’t ranked in any way here, let’s get that out of the way…)

The “1One King” of Mobay started making a lot of noise late last year, and is no surprise to the lineup this year. With a buzz that quickly spread like wildfire thanks to tracks like “Tuff“, “Things Go Change“, “Feel Like This (Big Toe)“, and “Learn“, he quickly rose up the ranks with some of the best from the west. Don’t believe me? Watch his debut appearance at Reggae Sumfest 2018 below.

With her unique physical features, Jada K became a fixture on IG Explore pages for many. When she showed you that she had some singing chops to go with them, she became your drug. She started making more moves as a Recording Artist last year when she gave us “Love Situations“. Her buzz grew even more when she made appearances at events, and followed up with “Unwanted“, “Wull On“, “B.Y.E.H.“, and “Better Than That” with Govana. She ain’t done yet, so “Wull On” for more.
The Daughter of legends (more about that here), Naomi Cowan is determined to carve her own lane in music. She she showed she can get in the Oldies bag with her cover of The Jamaicans’ 1967 hit, “Things You Say You Love“, and give you the 2018 bop in the form of “Paradise Plum” (Corporate Jamaica is sleeping on this track). With a mixtape out with WrdSOUNDPwr, don’t sleep on this young lady.

Sara Bloom is a gem, and her voice will have you playing her over and over. She made her debut earlier this year with her Jazzy “Wanna Know“, then followed up with the Matt Dewar assisted “Get Lonely“, and has plans to make you fall in love with her later this year. Give her the space and the right people around her, and she’ll be a fixture in this music biz.

Hailing from Trinidad & Tobago, Chinaka’s talent is ready for the world. She was making her voice be heard at home, but her debut single “Make Me Whole” is ensuring that her name crosses seas this year. She promises to hit you with more, so keep up with her like the daily news!

With a militant style, Jahbar I has been doing his thing for quite a while. He started making noise more recently thanks to tracks like “Legal Scamma“, “High Tonic“, “Bakklefield“, and “Friendly Foes“. He has been making his presence felt with appearances at events including “Tarrus Riley & Friends” with The Firehouse Crew last year. Definitely an Artist to watch out for. Follow him and his “Rockaz Lifestyle“. Rock dem!
Every move he makes is a “Promise Move“, but Kash is on his way to making bigger moves. Affiliated with popular Youtuber JNel Comedy, Kash has been delivering his own style of music for some time, and has been working his way up the ranks with tracks like “The System“, “Communication“, and a few cover songs. With a cosign from Romeich Entertainment, he recently unleashed a dose of reality for many with the track, “Oh Lord“. Greatness awaits for this young Artist.

NY based Rapper Sekani is one who has taken influences from Reggae/Dancehall, Jazz, and Hip Hop to make a unique sound. He is not afraid to pour his heart out in his music, and his releases are evidence of this. He caused a spark with “U&ITY” late last year, and this year got the pot bubbling with his “Fragmented” project. With “876” on the way, don’t sleep on this Artist.
Yaksta isn’t your typical Artist. He is not afraid to be influenced by music from the past, and will embrace all genres that welcome him. With tracks like “While I’m Young“, “Home“, “Struggler“, and “Boogie Woogie“, Yaksta is one to keep on your radar. His acting and directing skills aren’t bad either, check out one of his visuals below.

Based in Montego Bay, Jahmuda promises to deliver music with great messages. While he has been perfecting his craft over the years, his first offering for 2018 was the single, “New Opportunity“. With more songs in the stash, you will enjoy the positive vibes from Jahmuda!
Some can say Dmitri Izem is a one man army. He can sing, produce, and play instruments. With his 10/24 Music Imprint, he gave the world his “24 Eden Garden, Kingston 10” project last year which was well received. 2018 found him competing for a chance to perform at Reggae Sumfest 2018, and releasing the single, “When Mission Complete“. Get familiar with him.

Though based in the US, her Caribbean background (Belize & Haiti) influences her talent. When she’s not making creative covers of some of her favourite songs, she’s collaborating with the likes of Producer Kris Karz (featured in his “Kngly Live” series), or Jemere Morgan (Cut Ya Loose). Signed to Gramps Morgan’s Dadason Entertainment, she’s a unique fixture to your feeds and playlists.
KaleX brings his dose of “island.WAV” to the game. From tracks that’ll give you some well needed vibes, to wooing the ladies, you can’t miss when you add him to the set list. He also handles his own as a Producer as he recently released the “Carefree Riddim” through KaleX Productions that featured the likes of Khxos, Chargii, and Popcaan! He hopes to command your summer with his recently released “1SXMMER EP“. Tune in!
