Tonight on Onstage, DJ Jabba of Hot 97, Massive B Sound, and Irie Jam Radio (to name a few of his many platforms) was a guest. Here he spoke about visiting his mother, being born in New York and his upbringing in Jamaica, his upcoming “Best of the Best” concert, thoughts on the Vybz Kartel trial and how it affects Dancehall Music worldwide, how promoting Dancehall Music differs in the U.S. and the difficulties faced when it comes to crossing over. Today’s new video comes from the combination of Etana and Jo Mersa Marley. Titled “Thy Will Be Done” we hear Etana and Jo Mersa dropping message music and speaking on the issues affecting Jamaica and its people. In the video Etana’s part is shot in different communities highlighting the youth and the adults that reside there and also scenes of her performing at an event while we see Jo Mersa delivering his part in the studio. A great combination here as the “Strong One” and the 2nd generation Marley deliver conscious music that will reach the ears of many. Great shots of the various communities and the people that reside there. Check out the video below and share your thoughts in the comments section.
