Today’s music video comes from singjay Markuss Simms. Titled “Sexy Body” and directed by Tommy Cannonville, we see the video start off with a woman complaining to her girlfriend about her man and planning to make a change at the club. The rest of the video comprises of Markuss dancing with a few girls in different scenes and money being thrown in the club. In a way I thought that given the lyrics of the song Markuss would be going after one girl in the video but this was not the case. This is a big one, a clash of countries and genres of music. Major Lazer teamed up with Jamaica’s Aidonia, Japan’s Gachapan, Amsterdam’s Party Squad and Brooklyn’s Baauer to give a mix of House, Trap, Electronic, and Dancehall music. Titled “Smoker Shake Oh My! (Remix)“, this is a remix of the popular Baauer creation, “Harlem Shake“. Aidonia is heard chanting “Ganja Fi Bun!” along with other lyrics. Titled “Tr888: The Tr888 Dancehall Mixtape“, this features some of the biggest Dancehall hits by some of the best in the business. “Tr888” is slang for “Straight” for all those out there wondering.
