Today’s new music comes from Reggae artist Lutan Fyah. Titled “We Know” and produced by Hanif Chito of Kimichi Records, he sings about uplifting the youths as he sees many being oppressed and he promises that once they’re doing good works they’ll never be left behind for they shall grow and overcome it all. Another artiste that was away from the Jamaican music scene for a long time was “Fire Wayne” also known as I-Wayne. Winford Williams managed to have the singer on his show to discuss a few things. Here I- Wayne spoke on his absence from the Jamaican music scene, his performances at Sting 2012 and Rebel Salute, his personality, his style of music, his thoughts on Chronixx, and his wishes for the music fraternity. Today’s Oldies Sunday selection comes from the late great Winston Hubert McIntosh otherwise known as Peter Tosh. Peter Tosh was a former member of the Bob Marley lead band The Wailers who left later down to pursue a solo career and was successful. “Glass House” was one of Peter Tosh’s many hits. “Glass House” was released in 1983 and produced by Peter Tosh for his Intel-Diplo HIM (Intelligent Diplomat for His Imperial Majesty) label. His song was also featured on his 6th studio album, “Mama Africa” which was released the same year. He sings about people who aim to belittle others while they themselves aren’t doing well with their own lives. In the song he chants the very popular proverb, “If you live in a glass house, don’t throw stones“.
