Ladies it’s that time to get your bodies rocking to the musical stylings of Major Lazer’s Jillionaire, Swick and T.O.K.! Premiering their new single “Ants Nest“, this is a blend of EDM, Dancehall, Soca and Bass. While T.O.K. provides the vocals, Swick and Jillionaire provide the instrumental that sounds like a party starter. Ladies play this when it’s time to leave work, prepping to go out, searching the fridge, and of course for the Gym workout. Recently the “Don Gorgon” NinjaMan, along with DownSound Records, held his Birthday Bash & Fish Fry at the Turtle River Park in St. Ann.Covering the event was Jamaican Film company “Epic Films” and they brought a few highlights. ART: @TajFrancis x @OverStand_JA x @Protoje x @IamChronixx Present: Who Knows Dub

Now here is something appealing to the eyes! Top Jamaican Illustrator Taj Francis recently collaborated with Reggae acts Protoje and Chronixx, and Producer Winta James to craft an Audio-Visual EP titled “TENFOLD:Opus“. The EP is a collection of Audio-Visual pieces that interprets the works of the Musician, Producer and Artist. Titled “Who Knows Dub“, this piece was inspired by the duality of inner peace and anxiety. If you’re not familiar with Taj Francis, he is the person behind the artwork for Protoje’s albums, Green Lion Crew’s “Rough Road”, and many more. Jamaica is home to a musical culture that’s quite diverse in nature as displayed at the #PayAttention concert series. Regular patrons should know that after a short hiatus the show will be back on Saturday, January 31 at C&C South Beach, 2 Brompton Road.

Q: You’re a #PayAttention veteran, how exactly does it feel to be hitting the stage after the short break? [July 19th being the last staging of the show]
A: For the opening act after the break, to hit THAT stage means to set the precedence: upholding the highest standard all others must follow hereafter. This is a great task.. rather, a noble task in the local Jamaican Hip-Hop community, that must reassure the rest of the world of Jamaica’s Rap relevance. It is a worthy force to be reckoned with because the First Coast movement is fully active and greater is yet to come!
