Today December 12 marks another year on earth for Dancehall’s favourite Mermaid, Tifa! With a year that saw many ups and downs, we know today’s a blessing for her. Celebrating her life and career, we compiled “The T-I-F-A Playlist“! With hours of hits, ladies can reveal the inner hot gal and “dash out” to this, and the fellas can prepare for the many moves they’ll perform with their “Champion Bubbler“. An Artist who has stepped outside the box many times and sealed her spot as one of the great Female Dancehall Artists, we have nothing but respect for her over here. One gripe some may have with the Playlist however, some of the hits were missing, but we blame the folks responsible for distribution for that. Recently, Kevin Anthony Jackson o/c the Veteran Reggae/Dancehall Artist “Sanchez“, was recognized by the Government of Jamaica for his contribution to the music industry in the form of a street being renamed in his honour. “Park Lane“, off Red Hills Rd in St. Andrew, made way for “Sanchez Drive” and was met with much fanfare. We’d like to honour the living legend in one of the best ways we know how. Hitting up Spotify, we curated some of Sanchez’s greatest cover singles in the first volume of our “Cover Kings” series. Recently we caught Dancehall Artist Chi Ching Ching on Nightly Fix’s “The Fix” Podcast. Throughout the episode, we were reminded on how far Ching is coming from in his career. With him celebrating his Birthday and the release of his debut album “Turning Tables” recently, we were inspired to compile a playlist featuring some of his hits. The “TallaDanDem” Boss has come a long way from carrying the red carpet literally everywhere, and rocking the zip earrings.
