It’s all about the money and today Nordia Witter a.k.a. Coco wants it rolling her way with her new single. Titled “Wuk Di Money” and produced by Yawd Movements, Coco speaks on possessing the “Bank Teller Wine“, and with it she is able to acquire property, gifts and money from those who are in awe of her skills. This song could be a hit at street dances and the chorus sounds like it was inspired by Indian songs, all it needed was a sample from one. On last night’s episode of Irie FM’s “Entertainment Buzz”, Dancehall artists Tifa and Rickey Teetz were the featured guests. Here Tifa spoke with hosts DJ Bones and Kshema Francis about her new headphones, working on new music, being featured on Hot 97 and Complex Magazine, the incident at Reggae Sumfest, wanting to be as successful as Lady Patra on the International level, upcoming events and more. Rickey Teetz was next and he spoke on his recent performances including his debut performance at Reggae Sumfest, being a diverse artist, singing for tourists before his big break, and much more. Here we get a compilation of Raine Seville singles from 2013 to 2014 including her collaboration with Mavado and her “Sekkle Dung” single with Konshens. Fans of Raine can add this to their playlist and those who are unfamiliar with her music, consider this an introduction to the “Sekkle Down Body” artist. In preparation for the upcoming “Respect De Ship: EDM Meets Dancehall” event on August 9 at Susie’s Bakery in Kingston, Silent Addy teamed up with Deejay/DJ Chi Ching Ching to release #RespectDeShip Vol. 1. Featuring a blend of EDM, Dancehall, Trap, and “Twerkhall” remixes, both acts are giving the public a taste of what’s to come. Jamaica and Homosexuals have been at odds for many years and while many have learnt to tolerate gays, there are others who just won’t have it. Today, Vice News presents a documentary focusing on the experiences of the LGBTQ+ community in the Kingston area. Titled “Jamaica’s Gully Queens“, we see members of the community using the gullies as a place of refuge, and looking out for each despite the harshness they face outside of it. We also get interviews from both sides of the fence concerning the matter. Interesting topic and while many may not like it, Vice has given the community a channel to voice their plight.
