Today’s Oldies Sunday selection pays tribute to one of the legends of Reggae Music, the late Dennis Emmanuel Brown. DJ Mucho, along with Earthquake Intl. Sound and Prodigy Movements present “The Promised Land (Tribute To Dennis Emmanuel Brown)“. This mix highlights some of the hits that the “Crown Prince of Reggae” created and even clips from some of his interviews over his rather lengthy career. From a child singer to an influence to future artists, Dennis Brown was always a top act with his commanding delivery and lyrics. Taking a trip down memory lane and back to the present with a special person is the aim in Prodi’s (Prodigal Son) new single. Titled “Love Me Like This” which was produced by Yawd Movement and armed with a Minnie Riperton sample, Prodi will have lovers reminiscing on the first day they’ve met, the first time they got close and thinking about how far they’ve come in their relationships. Directed by JayWill (Who also did Vybz Kartel’s “Teacha’s Pet”), Magnum brings to the screen a dash of beauty, sex appeal and style that consumers are familiar with via their calenders and roadshows. Titled “Ghetto Symphony“, their aim is to knock every artist off their chess table and leave a trail of bodies for future acts to see.
