Ozarie Calls Out The Chatterboxes In “Shut Up”

Vincy Mas is really right around the corner, and if you haven’t been preparing, then you better make something happen before it’s too late. With new music dropping frequently, we expect patrons to give their all on the road this season. With that said, Vincy Artist Ozarie Matthews drops a new single called, “Shut Up“.

Produced by Karbon Jamz on the “Road Tribute Riddim” and released through Hunttaflow Production, Ozarie calls out the chatterboxes, the tattletales, and the mouth a massy types in “Shut Up”. He shares that he has no tolerance for those who like to gossip and spread news, and he simply wants them to stay far from him, and be quiet. No matter what’s the discussion, if it’s no progressive, he has no time for it. Over production that’s influenced by the traditional Soca sound, we can expect the people to dance away to “Shut Up”, while avoiding the gossip. Ready for Vincy Mas?

Recording Artist Yaksta has a lot to say, and this time around, he’s not holding back. There’s a saying that goes, “Before you criticize someone, walk a mile in their shoes“, and Yaksta wants to talk about that on, “Walk Inside My Shoes“.

Produced by Leadazz Production and Bush Music, Yaksta has been feeling some ways lately, and he shares some harsh realities in “Walk Inside My Shoes”. In a world where pocket watching and people watching happen more frequently, we don’t know the stories behind the lifestyle and success of many out there. We don’t know how they got that opportunity to travel, we don’t know what goes on behind closed doors of that happy marriage, and we don’t know if that person’s wealth was made ethically. Yaksta sheds a light on the other side of those smiles, and emphasizes that if you’ve never lived their lives, don’t act like you know all about it. Many of them have issues, so mind your business. Gossip plays heavily into a lot of these pocket and people watching activities, and the Artist is calling out those who practice them. Comparison is the thief of joy, don’t follow the crowd.

OLDIES SUNDAY: Chuck Fenda – Jah It’s All About You (1996)

The Month of June is recognized as “Caribbean American Heritage Month“, and on Oldies Sunday, we want to highlight a few Artists who are a part of this. Today’s selection comes from Reggae/Dancehall Artist Chuck Fenda with the single, “Jah It’s All About You“.

Produced by King Jammy’s on the “Money Money Riddim” and released through the Jammy’s label in 1996, Chuck Fenda uses his talents to give praise to Jah in “Jah It’s All About You”. Throughout the song, he shares the many things that Jah has done for him, the ways he pays back for those blessings, and shows his gratitude. Listeners are also encouraged to seek Jah because there is so much going on in the world, and the people need guidance. “Jah It’s All About You” gained some attention for Fenda following its release, and allowed him to perform the track at various events. The Music Video that accompanied the single was his first official visual, and was directed by Llewellyn “Big Daddy Leo” O’Reggio.

Since the release of “Jah It’s All About You”, Chuck Fenda went on to have a successful music career which included the release of a number of hit singles and albums. Thanks to his music and messages, he earned titles like “Poor People Defender” and “The Living Fire“. He also assisted in developing the career of Dancehall Artist Jada Kingdom. Born in Brooklyn, New York and raised in Jamaica, Fenda embodied his Jamaican heritage, and contributed to the further growth of Reggae Music. He is recognized during “Caribbean American Heritage Month”, and Jah It’s All About You” is still played today.

Exes, how many of us have them? Whether you have maintained a good relationship with them after the breakup, or they rubbed you the wrong way, they’re a part of our love history. Recording Artist Major Myjah has his share of exes, and he speaks on them in his new single, “Exes“.

Produced by Triangle Park and L3GION, Major Myjah deals with past lovers who still want a piece of him in, “Exes”. He finds himself wondering why he can’t get rid of them, but then he realizes there were a few reasons for that. With all of that going on, he’s trying not to let them get in the way of his love life currently. Major has shown some growth with his songwriting and vocal delivery in recent times, and he’s looking to take his name to higher levels this year. “Exes” looks to be a Summer hit locally and Internationally, and a Music Video is expected to follow up shortly. US Rapper Ski Mask The Slump God has been one of the names that gained notoriety in the Hip Hop scene since the mid 2010s. Hailing from Broward County, Florida and raised by Jamaican parents, he made noise in the underground scene, and was a part of the generation that includes the late XXX Tentacion, Lil Uzi Vert, and Trippie Redd. Today, he released his latest album, “11th Dimension“, and has brought along a friend from Jamaica on one of the album’s tracks.

On track 15 off of Ski Mask The Slump God’s “11th Dimension” called “From Yard“, Dancehall Artist Skillibeng makes a guest appearance. Produced by Max Lord and Car!ton, Ski Mask and Skilli trade bars and flows throughout the track, tapping into some Jamaican elements as well. Skillibeng continues to rack up International features, which will in turn grant him even more International bookings and features. He is still reeling off of the success of his “Jump” feature with Tyla and Gunna, and we can expect a lot more from him later this year. Ski Mask The Slump God’s “11th Dimension” album is out now on all digital music streaming platforms.

The year has seen him release a number of singles and videos, but the people have been wanting more from the Artist. He has heard them, and he delivers with his official Mixtape, “Mob Ties“.

Featuring 13 tracks, Bayka levels up with his debut Mixtape, “Mob Ties”. The project highlights an Artist who has been building his name for a number of years, and has different sounds and styles for every type of Bayka listener. Production on “Mob Ties” come from the likes of Zimi Records, Yo Christon, Sean God, and The Fanatix while Najeeriii joins Bayka on one track. We can expect a different kind of energy from Bayka for the rest of the year, and “Mob Ties” will set the tone.
