With his “Call On Me” single making its rounds, he follows up with another one titled, “Candlelight“.

Produced by Fred Irie and featuring King Cruff, when it comes to getting close to that special lady, Justice The Artiste is trying to have her in the best way possible in, “Candlelight”. Whether he wants to wine and dine her, or be at the top of her priority list, Justice is putting his feelings in the melodies while Cruff is trying to be on the page with his lady interest who has some reservations. The production calls for candlelight dinners and relaxing moments by the sea at night, and the Artists knock out a solid collaboration here, and stay to the end of the included Annointed Productions-directed Visualizer for something extra. Dancehall Artist Ai Milly continues to give the people his version of “Trap Soul“. With his “PGLT” project still doing its rounds, he finds the time to give the fans a few new recordings. This time around, he shares the track, “Show Me“.

Produced by Active Music on the “Eyes Closed Riddim“, Ai Milly deals with a number of things on, “Show Me”. He speaks on the scars he has received over the years, deals with relationships with Women who want to be free, opening up to people but getting hurt in return, pouring his pain into his vices, and just moving forward despite his troubles. Milly continues to tap into a lane where many can relate to and feel his lyrics, and that sampled vocals on the production add to the track in a way that you can’t help but keep it on repeat. Expect even more from the Deejay in the coming days, and keep “PGLT” on heavy rotation.

OLDIES SUNDAY: Queen Paula – Me A The Teacher (1988)

The Month of March is recognized as “Women’s History Month“, and we recognize a few great Women who made significant contributions to Music. Today’s selection on “Oldies Sunday” comes from Queen Paula with the track, “Me A The Teacher“.

Produced by Michael Harrison and Steve Knight and released through Ridim Force in 1988, Queen Paula leaves the Musical Teachers’ College to own the scene with a catchy flow and attention-grabbing lyrics in “Me A The Teacher”. The early years of Dancehall saw the rise of Female Deejays, and Queen Paula was a part of the flock that took over the scene, and showed the Men that the Women can run things as well. The track made the statement that Paula is a top tier Artist, and it’s not going to be a small feat if you wish to challenge her. “Me A The Teacher” was well-received by the listeners, and was added to the list of tunes that showcased Paula’s skillset.

Since the release of “Me A The Teacher”, Queen Paula continued to record and release music in the 90s, and parts of the 2000s and 2010s, and even made appearances at events and sessions in recent years. She engaged in a couple lyrical confrontations with fellow Female Deejays, but she has earned her place as one of the foundation Deejays, and inspired a number of Female Artists over the years. This Teacher runs things.

You may know her as the daughter of Tony Rebel and Queen Ifrica, and she has been on the scene for quite some time, ready to make an impact like her parents. Recently, she shared her new single, “Got You“.
