From working as a Security Guard to rolling with Beenie Man, Deejay Kantana wants to etch his name in the Dancehall books and the next big act. Tonight on Onstage, Kantana spoke on his background, being all about deejaying, trying to get a “buss” for 5 years, working with Beenie Man, and his new single/video “Smoke And Drink“. In some Dancehall circles you rarely hear people mentioning the “Doctor” giving any new artist any “buss” but it’s a new year so let’s see what 2015 has in store for Kantana. Now fresh off his big signing with Atlantic Records, he joins Winford Williams to speak on it and more.
