As a part of his trip to New York for a performance at S.O.B.’s on Wednesday, Reggae artist I Octane made a stop at the Hot 97 studio to have a chat with Cipha Sounds and Shawnee Culture. Here Octane spoke on his style of music, his personality, the Reggae culture, Snoop Dogg or rather Snoop Lion, seeing the need to properly market a Reggae/Dancehall artist, and many other topics. I Octane also gave a brief performance for the listeners. Good to see I Octane on a big station like Hot 97, it’s also great when stations like them play many of our songs. In the last episode of Onstage, Winford Williams interviewed rising Dancehall artist from Bounty Killa’s A.N.G. camp, Kalado. Here he spoke about his career,  being cosigned by Bounty and labeled as the next big thing, and the diversity in his craft. Today’s new music video comes from the JOP general Aidonia and he comes through with his female team. Titled “Fi Di Jockey” and directed by Michael Burbridge and BiggzShip, we see Aidonia hosting a contest with ladies competiting in areas such as mechanical bull riding, and doing various dance moves to win the judges’ votes. Today’s new music video comes from Reggae artist I Octane. Titled “Buss A Blank” and directed by The Board, we hear Octane encouraging people to “buss a blank” if they don’t condone certain acts and behaviors. We see scenes where Octane is deejaying while being surrounded by friends and another where he is in a clothing store surrounded by a couple ladies.
