PRESS RELEASE: @ProdiVOP876 To Host Album Launch This Month

Prodilaunch

Reggae recording artiste Prodi (formally known as Prodigal Son) will be hosting his first reggae album launch at Emmanuel Apostolic Church on April 24 at 8 p.m. The Circle Small artiste has stirred up much controversy with this move from gospel to reggae, but reminds his fans that God is still the head of his life. Prodi shared: “I am a Christian, and my choice to do positive music is, a personal one that I made with God”. Last June, Prodi released his Reggae EP Voice of The People, which was a success. This EP led to several international features, including one in the famed Rolling Stones magazine.

The album, Perfectly Imperfect From Kingston City, will feature 13 singles, inclusive of powerful hits such as Hustlers Anthem, Kingston City, Never Leave and Circle Small. Prodi and his ‘Yawd Movement’ kicked off 2015 with his much-talked-about performance at Rebel Salute and continued the year with much success. “I am very excited about this year’s achievements and I strongly believe that this year is the year I make bigger steps in reggae music,” he said.

Prodi has been planning his Devotion Tours in schools in Kingston and St Andrew and will be visiting a few community youth clubs to share his message through positive music. He added: “I get judged a lot and oftentimes by those who do not take the time to listen to the content of my music and the powerful messages that we share with people. “This album shows that even though we are perfectly made in the sight of God, we all make mistakes and, as such, we are perfectly imperfect”.

Prodi recently released the video for Never Leave and is on his promotional runs for the album.

On Sunday, March 29th Saint Lucian-American organization, Zandoli International Foundation met with NGO, Leave Out Violence in Saint Vincent (LOVNSVG) to partner with Jamaican reggae artist, Mr. Vegas and his foundation, Jamaica Men Against Rape (JMAR).

The meeting resulted in a strategic partnership with Mr. Vegas and his organization aboard the Caribbean Committee Against Sex Crimes. CCASC is a collective of Caribbean organizations representing countries throughout CARICOM and OECS that are asking for the establishment of local and regional sex offender registries.

Mr. Vegas is well known for his social media advocacy and viral videos speaking out against child abuse and sexual assault. The Jamaican entertainer is committed to participating in the CCASC’s request for a regional registry and a publicizing of Jamaica’s already established registry.

With a Facebook following of close to 700,000 fans, Zandoli and LOVNSVG are confident that Mr. Vegas and his foundation’s involvement will serve to expand on their child molestation prevention initiatives and call on a greater participation from West Indians in the diaspora.

“Nuh judge me true mi eyes red!” – @KoroFyah

Within 24 hours much can be accomplished. Believe it or not, a day from now #PayAttention goes live again and further establishes itself a milestone within the Jamaican entertainment diaspora. I have nothing further to say on this topic; come show your support.

When it comes down to it, the game of emcees will not and is not made for every living soul out here. Any class of elites that exists does not need to prove that they are elite, they just are. #PayAttention boasts of being Jamaica’s premier Hip-Hop event, where is the contention? If you ask me, those bragging rights are fully legit and unchallenged.

Laron, CEO/Founder of Deadline Promotions, has few words but is a major player to know.

Q: Deadline Sound has been working closely with #PayAttention since it’s inception. What has the experience been like carrying Jamaica’s largest Hip-Hop movement?

A: It has been a great experience and a great journey with the 1st Coast Massive. Deadline Sound represents for music and especially if that music comes from our own island shores. I have seen the #PayAttention movement grow and it continues to grow. I can only say: we are privileged to be apart of the movement!

Q: You’re well ingrained in Jamaica’s entertainment business; through the ups and downs that the 1st Coast Movement endures can you comment on the progress that you’ve seen over the years?

Inztinkz

“International expansion was in our plans from day one” – @Inztinkz

Less than a week away, #PayAttention patrons should expect a fully revamped show kick-started by a complete change of venue. Often times big changes like this can mean detrimental losses, however, the show subtly made their maneuvers and are once again back at it hosting Kingston’s premier Hip-Hop event. The only way forward is up, in my humble opinion.

Producer Inztinkz is ready to show me what the new setup is all about

Q: I’d call you the technical audio director of #PayAttention; a long-standing organizer of the show. Briefly update me about the progression #PayAttention has been going through lately.

A: Lately, #PayAttention has been going through a lot; we recently decided to change venues.  The next staging of #PayAttention on March 28th will be held at our new venue Club Eutopia in New Kingston. We decided to try out a different vibe, open our doors to performers outside of Kingston that we have always wanted to feature.  Look out for continued progress from #PayAttention as we continue to achieve goals and shatter perceptions.

Scotty
I make rebellious raw music that real people can feel. – @YoungIgnorance
Expression comes in various forms. For us, #PayAttention seeks to bring to the forefront what many fail to see on a day-to-day basis. No! I am not saying that you should be tuned in 24/7/365. But when we sound that gong & set charges to that stage, you’re going to seriously wish that you hadn’t waited to get involved. Enough programming, I’m looking forward to seeing you at Eutopia on March 28th.

Scotty + The Dreamkillers has much to say.

Q
I been following you around on Soundcloud for many moons, it’s great to finally get a chance to see you make a display on the #PayAttention stage. Are you amped?
A: Much respect bro! Trust me I’ve been working so hard and I’m ready to kill the stage so I am definitely amped for March 28!
