We all have our own variety of Vices, whether it’s gaming, puffing herb, or even binge watching Anime. Today, Acmatic is back from a small hiatus to share their “Vices” Music Video. Featuring King Lopo fresh from dream land, he looks back at the wild night he has had through the means of a Snapchat story. While the group has been known to bond with a few beers and the Wray & Nephew White Rum, they ask today, “What’s Your Vice?“. Share yours in the comments section. You couldn’t deny the “Controlla” single in 2016. From what started as a leak has become a single that blew up everywhere! Created by Drake (duh!), this was a single to boost the anticipation of his 4th album, “Views“. Of course when it comes to hit songs, there will be remixes, covers, and clones (lol Tyga). While we won’t get into the other story/controversy with “Controlla” (maybe next time, Mr. Vegas), we’ll recruit 4 very popular versions in a Battle Royale! Up for Battle are Drake (Original), Popcaan (Featured on leak/suggested to be a Remix although edited versions created waves), Royal Blu (Who garnered an underground following for his version), and Tory Lanez (Who has recently revealed his own Canadian/Jamaican Dancehall styled version). The streets of Spanish Town and May Pen will come to life this weekend with the sights and sounds of the Pepsi Refresh Tour, the five-week long Islandwide campaign designed by the beverage giant to develop deeper connection with millennials. The 2-hour session, July 15 and 16 for Spanish Town and May Pen respectively, will feature performances by exuberant Dancehall Artiste Tanto Blacks and emerging artistes Eskabel, Lia Caribe, Ishadyz, complete with energetic dancers, spot prizes, and other promotional activities.

The Pepsi Refresh Tour is aimed at giving music fans a taste of Pepsi Refresh Live, a high-energy concert featuring Dancehall heavyweights Busy Signal, Spice, Cham and Bugle, with Sound System Coppershot to keep the vibe alive. The concert is set for August 13 at Pepsi 214, located at 214 Spanish Town Road. Fans can win instantly tickets to the Pepsi Refresh Live concert by purchasing six bottles of 20oz Pepsi from select wholesales and supermarkets in and around the area during the Pepsi Refresh Tour stops and through partnerships with quick service restaurants KFC and Tastee Patties. Fans can also win tickets to summer staple, Reggae Sumfest by buying special Pepsi deals on during the tour stop.

The Pepsi Refresh Tour has rocked Half Way Tree, Papine and Greater Portmore, and will continue in Spanish Town, May Pen, Downtown-Kingston, Ochi Rios, Montego Bay and Savanna-la-Mar, the final leg slated for August 5.

G Medz Drops “Who Feels It Knows”

Emerging act G Medz is thrilled with the positive feedback that he has been getting for his latest single, “Who Feels It Knows”. Produced under his own Record Label, Fruitful Records, the song is a reflective piece that can be appreciated by everyone. The Artiste who hails from Frankfield, Clarendon is hoping that this song will be the one to propel his career to the next point and give him the much deserved recognition in the music business.

“The song is an excellent crafted one, the beats are very good and the lyrics are clean and wholesome. I took my time to work on this song, because I want it to be a hit.” Expressed G Medz. “Who Feels it Knows” was officially released the first of this month and is available for purchase on all digital platforms. Plans are already on the way for an accompanying video, which will be shot in various locations in the parish of Clarendon.

Challenges in the business

G Medz admits that one of the greatest challenges that he has faced in the business since embarking on his journey is the difficulty in getting to work with some known Producers. “I am still young in the game, but I am very talented. One of the biggest things for me is to work with some of the top Producers in the business and I am hoping that this song will open up this door for me.” Said G Medz. It is safe to say that G Medz is out to make a name for himself. He is currently working with Susan Smith of Powerhouse Global Media to aid him on his journey to success.

Pepsi Cola Jamaica has embarked on a 5 week Island wide series of pop-up concerts dubbed, “Pepsi Refresh Tour”. The Tour kicked off on Friday July 8, in Half-Way-Tree. The event allowed consumers to gain a deeper connection with the Pepsi brand, and interact with their favorite Artistes as they performed some of the hottest tracks this Summer. Featured Artists Lia Caribe, Tanto Blacks, Eskabel, and Ishaydz definitely brought the vibes during their 4-hour event.

Fans can instantly win tickets to the Pepsi Refresh Live concert by purchasing six bottles of 20 OZ Pepsi from select Wholesalers and Supermarkets during the Pepsi Refresh Tour or through partnerships with Tastee Patties and KFC.

These 4-hour sessions gave fans an exclusive taste of the Pepsi Refresh Live concert on August 13, which will feature Dancehall heavyweights Busy Signal, Spice, Cham and Bugle.
