It’s Time For @Bawse_Dawg To “ELEV8” With New Album

It’s been a long time coming, but Dancehall/Reggae Artist Bling Dawg is finally taking his career to the next level. Breaking out in the early 2000s armed with a aggressive raspy flow and a commanding presence, Bling Dawg had everyone saying, “If anuh me a who” and “A Ricky Rudie! A.k.a. Bling Dawg!“. While he has a respectable amount of hit singles to his name, he never gave his fans an album. After a few transformations in his personal life and career, Bling Dawg’s vision is clearer than ever. Today, Bling Dawg releases his album, “ELEV8“.

Featuring 19 tracks, “ELEV8” is released through US/Guyana based label Creative Titans. The album finds Bling Dawg on a journey to expand his mindset, deliver music with a message, and still show that even after 20+ years, he still can make great music. This is Bling Dawg’s world, and he shares his perspective on various topics, provides some consciousness when we need it, tackles every production thrown his way, and stays sharp on every line. When you have sounds from Damian “Junior Gong” Marley, Dawg House Productions, Baby G, Ferdinand “Young Boy” Maynard Jr., Bobby Digital, Dameon Gayle, Bulby York, and Starplayer Music Group are on board, you’re in for something special. Bling’s not alone on “ELEV8” as he brings along friends like Popcaan, Christopher Martin, Tanya Stephens, Romain Virgo, Morgan Heritage, Bounty Killa, and Busy Signal for this new uplifting journey. “ELEV8” is a solid release from an Artist who despite the odds, emerged more focused than ever, never chased trends, and showed that his work is not done. It’s time for something new.

It’s been a long time coming, but Dancehall Artist Masicka has held his own as one of Jamaica’s top Lyricists. Whether you know him as the “Genahsyde Boss” or “Theo Di Future“, Masicka has represented well for over a decade. One thing was missing was an album, but he fixes that with the release of his highly anticipated debut album, “438“.

Loaded with 16 tracks, Masicka guarantees zero skips here as he covers a variety of topics, flexes his lyricism, and gives us some storytelling as well. You’ve come to expect a top form Artist here, and with solid production from some of the top Producers in the game (Dunw3ll and Kalex are said to have made contributions to the album. Whoever uploaded the album didn’t credit the Producers.) and guest appearances by Stefflon Don, Sean Paul, Dexta Daps, and Popcaan, “438” is gonna be your album of the year. Skillibeng has positioned himself as one of Dancehall’s hottest Artists out. Love or hate him, he’s here to stay, and he has a lot more ground to cover. Capitalizing off of his massively successful “Crocodile Teeth” single, he levels up with the release of his highly anticipated album, “Crocodile Teeth: The Album“.

Released through Eastsyde Records along with Adde Instrumentals and leading music distributor Johnny Wonder, Skillibeng gives the people what they want, which is new music (12 new tracks to be exact). The album features Adde Instrumentals and Johnny Wonder tackling production duties alongside Math Of Minds Productions and Slingerz Records, and joining the fold is a star studded cast of Popcaan, Stefflon Don, Rich The Kid, Lil Zack, Davianah, and Bobby Shmurda, who appears on a special remix of “Crocodile Teeth“. 2021 has been a great year for US based Artist Capella Grey. His “Gyalis” single was everywhere from parties, to becoming a Social Media fixture, to even being featured on a few of your favourite Podcasts and Playlists. While it had some controversy thanks to his Genius “Verified” feature not sitting well with some members of Jamaican/Caribbean Twitter, “Gyalis” is still a hit. On a mission to grow the song to new levels, Capella recruited Popcaan and Chris Brown for the official remix.

While Chris Brown brings his signature vocals and energy, Popcaan steps in like a true gyalis with his verse as “the ladies crown him King“. “Gyalis” gets some new life on the remix, and if you haven’t been familiar with the song, now is the time to take a listen. 3 different Artists, 3 different types of Gyalis, one dope song. Capella touches base with his Jamaican roots in some of his music, and promises to be one of more prominent names for years to come. Popcaan on the other hand has been pretty busy these past few weeks, when he’s not buying sneakers in the UK, he’s hopping on plenty songs. The Unruly Boss continues to thrive no matter what’s going on.

A couple weeks ago, the legendary Beres Hammond gave the world nothing but that niceness with his “Love From A Distance” online concert. Serenading with the classics, he gave the audience even more when he brought Popcaan on stage to perform a new single called, “God Is Love“. While the single became available days later, today we get the visual for it.

Directed by Shane C. Brown, Rasheed Hammond, and Lauren Watkis, we see Popcaan and Beres Hammond build a vibe together with Shane C. Brown at the studio. We also get various highlights of their performance at the concert, and we witness a great pairing as Beres the elder and Poppy the young bwoy gave us a song that we will be enjoying for years to come. Is it too much to ask for a collaborative EP?

International Poppy strikes again! Popcaan continues to put in the necessary work to solidify his place as a Dancehall legend, and an International Icon. The year saw him dropping hits and making international appearances, and today you can find him on US Rapper Meg Thee Stallion’s “Good News” album.

Featured on the track “Intercourse“, Popcaan did what he needed to do as he brought a lot of Dancehall vibes to compliment Meg’s sex talk over some Mustard production. The Popcaan feature was a much anticipated one since it was revealed earlier this week on Meg’s social media feeds.
