With Tanto Metro & Devonte being the Influence behind this hit, Toronto Artist Tory Lanez gave fans a visual for the single, “LUV“. Featuring beautiful women, an old school ride, and some very clean shots/scenes, Tory’s Dancehall-tinged single is now more infectious than his previous hit, “Say It“. With the population in Canada being a melting pot of many cultures and nationalities, it’s no surprise when established and up and coming acts add the Caribbean Influence to their music. Toronto based Reggae Rapper Denny To The Fray tackles the issue of safe sex on his latest single of the same name. The track, released May 14, is taken from his upcoming five-track EP, “TFP”. “The goal is to bring out in the open subjects people are uncomfortable talking about, like using protection when engaging in sexual intercourse. No one should be afraid to talk about sex. There are a million songs all about sex, but, unfortunately, not as many discuss what is appropriate and safe,” said Denny To The Fray, 34.
“Safe Sex” is co-produced by Mark “Zeej Maverick” Sterling and Denny Walcott. “TFP”, which is earmarked for a June 30 release date, boasts tracks including “Don’t Shoot”, “Safe Sex”, “Bobby”, “Four Four”, and “Keep Blazing 2.0”. A past student of Clarendon College, Denny to the Fray (given name Denny Fray Walcott) was born in Lionel Town in that parish. At 12, he built a sound system and played at gigs throughout Clarendon. He migrated to Canada in 1997 where he studied law at Sheridan College. His recording break would come in 2013 with the release of “Keep Blazing”.

Recently, popular Canadian Media Personality Nardwuar Interviewed the “6 God” Drake, and friend and longtime Producer Noah “40” Shebib. Filmed in Toronto, Canada a.k.a. “The 6ix“, Drake and 40 shared with Nardwuar some aspects of their backgrounds including growing up and 40 and Drake’s first record, “Views“, their influences including the late Rapper Biggie Smalls, Common, the Houston, Toronto, and Memphis Hip Hop scenes, and the Reggae/Dancehall including acts like King Tubby, Mavado, Popcaan, and Vybz Kartel. Canadian based recording artiste, K-Anthony has released a new single geared for a global breakthrough. The song has an international, pop sound and critics believe this is definitely a single to watch. “Billboard” is the title of the track produced by Dwain “Wiya” Campbell of Barbwiya Music. It sends a comprehensive message that you may not achieve the success and recognition that most would do anything to acquire, however there are other achievements that more meaningful and of even greater value.
The urban-gospel singer said, “Initially in my career my main aim was to be the epitome of Gospel music. Getting on the world renowned Billboard charts. I had a redefining moment in my life, while writing this song. My focus shifted from self to total surrender to God’s will. My musical passion became bigger than just getting on to charts. My new goal was to be a billboard for what I believed in. I yearn to remind Christians that being a billboard is their duty. We are the living advertisement for salvation and grace. When you listen to this record you can clearly hear the influence of R &B music, particularly of Boyz to Men and Brian McKnight. They played integral roles in the defining moments for K-Anthony, encouraging him to select the musical path he travels today. His new album also titled, “Billboard” is due to hit music stores this May.
K-Anthony, given name Kevin Fowler is a former instructor of music at Northern Caribbean University. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music and an Associates degree in Mass Communication.
