Earlier this week, BakerSteez shared a Short Film based on the upcoming Mixtape, “Life Liva“. The video drummed up more anticipation for the project, but it also showed an Artist who believed in doing more than just dropping music, and using the rollout for other aspects of creativity. The wait is finally over as Steez shares his “Life Liva” Mixtape.

Featuring 15 tracks, BakerSteez brings listeners into his world on “Life Liva”. As the title suggests, Steez has experienced a lot, and he uses the music to paint those pictures. The Mixtape follows up the 2021 “Active” EP, and features production by the likes of Armzhouse Records, Universvlz, Zimi Records, Mxssivh, and Carterr. Having friends is a great part of the life living, and Steez enlisted Bayka, Kyoka, Imeru Tafari, and Roshawny BadG for a number of tracks. Time to tune in, and live some life.

Rapper BakerSteez has been living it up these past few years. When he’s not making music or putting together content, he’s making moves with his peers locally and Internationally. With a number of projects to his name, he has gained a respectable fanbase that shows up when the new releases go live. Following the announcement of his new Mixtape, “Life Liva“, he hosted a listening party earlier this month in Kingston, Jamaica. The project has yet to drop officially, but until then, check out the Short Film called, “Life Liva“.

The 13 minute “Life Liva” Short Film gives viewers a small look inside BakerSteez enjoying life in a few ways, a glimpse inside the process of the “Life Liva” Mixtape, and highlights from the recently held listening party. A few familiar faces show up in the video, and Steez shares that there will be a lot more content in the future. Nothing formal here, just respectable that an Artist can do more than just the typical release a song or music video or project, with nothing else for the fans. Stay tuned for the Mixtape.

Legendary UK MC Giggs has been busy this year. Having racked up flyer miles from connecting with many of his peers around the world, performing in various places, and promoting his new “Zero Tolerance” album, he has been making a lot happen. With more ears taking in the album, Giggs continues to drop more content including the music video for the track, “We Nuh Fraid“.

The Jazzwad-produced “We Nuh Fraid” features Popcaan, and together they trade slick bars, and further solidify that Unruly/SN1 connection. The Face Xpression-directed music video was shot in Tivoli Gardens, Jamaica, and it finds the Artists hanging out with their crew which include Toronto Artist Pressa, and Jamaican Rapper BakerSteez. Catch Giggs in a city near you in the coming days, and keep the “Zero Tolerance” album in heavy rotation.

Dawn Penn & @WhoIsBEAM Sampled For @OffsetYRN’s “Set It Off” Album

Earlier today, Atlanta Hip Hop Artist Offset released his sophomore album called, “Set It Off“. The former Migos member made it a mission to further prove that he can hold his own as a solo Artist, and connect with more people and markets. The 21 track album has something for everyone, but one track stood out with familiar sounds.

On track 3 of Offset’s “Set It Off” album called “Worth It“, the track starts off with the familiar sound of the 1994 classic “You Don’t Love Me (No No No)” by Reggae Artist Dawn Penn, and the rest had the sound of US-based Recording Artist BEAM and Producer ChaseTheMoney’s new single, “Understand“. “Worth It” was produced by Heavy Mellow and ChaseTheMoney, and featured Singer/Rapper Don Toliver. The classic “Wake the town and tell the people” opener was performed by the late U-Roy for his 1971 single “Wake The Town“, and was sampled for Dawn Penn’s hit, which went on to become a Gold-selling classic, and sampled by many over the years. “Understand” sampled the 1976 classic “Sweet Green Fields” by Seals & Crofts, which was also sampled for Rapper Busta Rhymes’ 1997 classic “Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Can See“. For those unfamiliar, BEAM has been on the scene for a number of years, and is the son of former Dancehall Artist-now Gospel Artist/Minister Papa San. Offset’s “Set It Off” album is out now!

Bakersteez recently announced that he will be releasing a new project this month. Titled “Life Liva“, fans can expect more heat from the Rapper, and he’ll be bringing a few friends along. To get the anticipation going, he has been releasing videos, including the latest called, “Stand By Me“.

Featuring Roshawny BadG, Bakersteez gets into some Drill vibes on “Stand By Me”. With production by Armzhouse Records who flipped Ben E. King’s “Stand By Me”, the Artists are about the ladies in their collaboration. The video switches between fish eye lens shots, supermarket runs, street performances, and a lil A.I. magic, and it’s another preview of what’s to come on “Live Liva”. Get familiar with this one.

Canada-based DJ Blkluos continues to take his Production to new levels, and aligning with various names in the process. He has maintained a significant presence over the years, and his catalogue continues to grow. Recently, he tapped in with American-Jamaican Hip Hop Artist DeemRaw for the new single, “How I’m Built“.

Featuring Trap-inspired Production by DJ Blkluos, DeemRaw takes the spotlight in letting the world know that he’s cut from a different cloth, and what he’s about will make him one to align with, or make a worthy adversary. Regardless, he keeps his circle small, and he is ready for what ever is about to happen next. The single is accompanied by a music video directed by BlvckFaceRD, and shot in the Dominican Republic where DeemRaw performs the track. DeemRaw has been on the scene for a number of years, and looks to expand his presence in more territories around the world. DJ Blkluos looks to do even more with him, and listeners can be on the lookout for that.
