Hip Hop Artist Latto has been holding her spot as one of the leading Female acts in the past few years. First gaining fame as a Teenager on “The Rap Game” on Netflix, she has since then scored a few hits, and has fans awaiting even more from her. All that work can be exhausting, and she is need of a vacation. Luckily in the video for her new single, “Somebody“, she finds herself in the Islands for some R & R.

Directed by her Sister Brooklyn Nikole and HidJi of AWGE and shot in Jamaica, Latto is living it up on the Island in the video for her single, “Somebody”. The video finds her soaking in the Sun at the beach, Rafting to relieve the stress, and turning up and catching the Island vibe throughout while singing about her need for her lover boy. Watching this video, Jamaica really fits Latto, and some may think she’s a local just by seeing her here. Many were looking forward to the visual since Latto shared content from her stay on Social Media, and it would be nice if she comes back for even more like a few Studio sessions, and collaborations with our high profile Artists.

On April 11, the world lost another legend. The news of Reggae Icon Max Romeo’s passing was definitely a shock to many, and tributes were quickly made public. Since the 1960s, Romeo defined an era where he delivered songs that stood out from the pack, with lyrics that have inspired generations of Artists, and caused bans and censorships. He became a dominant force, and he never backed down from whatever or whoever stood in the way. He is a legend, will be missed by many, and his legacy will be carried on by his children, and those who have joined his movement. We pay tribute to him with our latest Playlist, “Sampling Max Romeo“.

Featuring a few tracks, we showcase not only some of Max Romeo’s works, but Artists in Hip Hop, Pop, EDM, and Reggae who have sampled his music on the “Sampling Max Romeo” Playlist. Many of us know Jay Z’s “Lucifer” that sampled “Chase The Devil“, but we’re using this time to highlight even more. It’s been a while since the world has heard from Five Steez. When he wasn’t busy making music, he has been putting the running shoes on overtime, being a part of daily runs, and participating in a few marathons. The time has come for him to get off the track, and focus on this new track called, “Wild Jamaicans From Kingston“.

Produced by Inztinkz and featuring Sly Rankin, Five Steez delivers some commentary on his Island home in, “Wild Jamaicans From Kingston”. The Rappers shed a light on the craziness that gets highlighted on Prime Time News, providing views that elude a few Tourists who only see the Resorts and white sand beaches. They talk about the crime, the body counts, the protests, and the drama, but it’s still home regardless. Production borrows vocals from Hip Hop Icon Nas’ “Thief’s Theme“, and Inztinkz gives the beat a feel that you can’t help but rock to while Steez and Sly paint the pictures. They say there a few types of Jamaica, this is just one of them.

It has been a few months since King Cruff released his debut EP, “What Have I’Don“, and he’s staying busy with the music. While he has been posting content online and sharing the stage with a number of Artists, he has been collaborating with a few Artists and brands, elevating his profile in the process. The content continues with the release of the Visualizer for, “Way We Know“.

The Banx & Ranx-produced “Way We Know”, is the closer off of King Cruff’s “What Have I’Don” EP, and it was only right that we got video content for it. With so much that has happened for him in the past few months, the Ian Simon and Neil-Anthony Watson-directed Visualizer plays as a highlight reel that shows us some of his recording sessions, his live performances, Media runs, connecting with family and friends, and more. Cruff has a lot to look forward to in the coming months, and later this month he will make his stage debut at the popular South By SouthWest (SXSW) annual Festival in Texas. Stay tuned for what he’ll do next.
