Earlier this week, BakerSteez shared a Short Film based on the upcoming Mixtape, “Life Liva“. The video drummed up more anticipation for the project, but it also showed an Artist who believed in doing more than just dropping music, and using the rollout for other aspects of creativity. The wait is finally over as Steez shares his “Life Liva” Mixtape.

Featuring 15 tracks, BakerSteez brings listeners into his world on “Life Liva”. As the title suggests, Steez has experienced a lot, and he uses the music to paint those pictures. The Mixtape follows up the 2021 “Active” EP, and features production by the likes of Armzhouse Records, Universvlz, Zimi Records, Mxssivh, and Carterr. Having friends is a great part of the life living, and Steez enlisted Bayka, Kyoka, Imeru Tafari, and Roshawny BadG for a number of tracks. Time to tune in, and live some life.

Rapper BakerSteez has been living it up these past few years. When he’s not making music or putting together content, he’s making moves with his peers locally and Internationally. With a number of projects to his name, he has gained a respectable fanbase that shows up when the new releases go live. Following the announcement of his new Mixtape, “Life Liva“, he hosted a listening party earlier this month in Kingston, Jamaica. The project has yet to drop officially, but until then, check out the Short Film called, “Life Liva“.

The 13 minute “Life Liva” Short Film gives viewers a small look inside BakerSteez enjoying life in a few ways, a glimpse inside the process of the “Life Liva” Mixtape, and highlights from the recently held listening party. A few familiar faces show up in the video, and Steez shares that there will be a lot more content in the future. Nothing formal here, just respectable that an Artist can do more than just the typical release a song or music video or project, with nothing else for the fans. Stay tuned for the Mixtape.

Bakersteez recently announced that he will be releasing a new project this month. Titled “Life Liva“, fans can expect more heat from the Rapper, and he’ll be bringing a few friends along. To get the anticipation going, he has been releasing videos, including the latest called, “Stand By Me“.

Featuring Roshawny BadG, Bakersteez gets into some Drill vibes on “Stand By Me”. With production by Armzhouse Records who flipped Ben E. King’s “Stand By Me”, the Artists are about the ladies in their collaboration. The video switches between fish eye lens shots, supermarket runs, street performances, and a lil A.I. magic, and it’s another preview of what’s to come on “Live Liva”. Get familiar with this one.

We all have bad days. The magnitude of the bad day is dependent on the individual. It takes a lot to overcome it, but it’s possible if you have faith. Rapper Chase Soundz returns to the scene with a few words for the listener who is dealing with a few bad days, and it’s called, “P.U.S.H“.

Produced by Lucas Quinn, Chase Soundz provides some motivation on “P.U.S.H”. With a renewed focus and sharper lyrics, Chase provides the new single for those who need a boost today. He reflects on times of trouble, but moves forward with a confidence that can be contagious. Despite a few setbacks, expect more music to be released before the end of the year. For those unfamiliar, Chase Soundz is a US-based Rapper who hails from Montego Bay, St. James. For a number of years, he has released Hip Hop and Dancehall singles, and has been steadily gaining love locally, and abroad. Persist Until Success Happens.

For those who’re unaware, Jamaica has a Hip Hop culture that is very active. Some of your favourite Dancehall/Reggae Artists started out as Rappers, or have been heavily influenced by the music. While some of the output reflects on some of the trendy singles and Artists out, there is a sector that respects the elements of the culture, with emphasis on the lyrics. Enter Five Steez who is no stranger on this platform, and has been active on the scene for close to two decades. With a new album on the way, he fires off a single called, “Simple Man“.

Produced by Son Raw, Five Steez does some reminiscing on “Simple Man”. He reflects on some of the experiences good and bad, but also shares some aspects of his day to day life. At the end of the day, he wants to be better, be in better situations, and just live well at that. He taps into his signature delivery here, and the Jazz-influenced sample helps him to get his points across. Five Steez and Son Raw’s “Simple Man” is a track off of their upcoming collaborative project called, “re:DEFined” which is set to be released on July 11 on Bandcamp, and on July 25 on all digital music streaming platforms. Montego Bay based Rapper MoulaUE returns to music after a short hiatus. Having shown that he is one of the Jamaican Lyricists you need to know, he had to fall back for a while to deal with life outside the booth. Before he returns in a bigger way however, he goes back into the archives to share a few gems that never saw the light of day. Today, you’ll get a chance to hear them in the new “The Lost Files” EP.

Consisting of 3 tracks, MoulaUE gives listeners a freestyle, and a couple collaborations that were made for previous projects, but were left behind for one reason or another. Recording Artists Warm Soul, Minx, and JadaFilly appear as the collaborators on “The Lost Files” EP, and the production is strong on this release.
