@DMedzMusic Lauded For Positive Lyrics, Continues To Empower Youth

Recording Artist D-Medz has yet again released the visuals for a new positive Reggae jam. The Artist who is known for singles geared at youth empowerment has been getting great reviews with the new video and single ‘Nuh Falla (Bad Company)’ on the ‘Real Rock Riddim’. The video was shot in May Pen, Clarendon where the Artist resides, and Porus, Manchester.

D-Medz who is signed to EppJam Production has been creating a buzz in Reggae for quite some time. He received great reviews after his performance at Rebel Salute earlier this year and again at Reggae Sumfest in Catherine Hall, Montego Bay. The Artist, known for singles such as ‘Champion’ that was used as a theme song on the youth empowerment programme ‘Talk Up Yout’, ‘No Vote’ and ‘Rebel Souljah’ from his Empower EP, has kept within this belief in encouraging youths through music.

The ‘Champion’ Artist was met with open arms and words of encouragement by the Hon. Olivia ‘Babsy’ Grange, Minister of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sports, and the Most Honourable Andrew Holness, Prime Minister of Jamaica back stage at Reggae Sumfest after his big performance. He said “My music is about positivity and I encourage other Artists to strive to release music with similar content”.

@BugleMusic Ventures Into Music Production

International Reggae-Dancehall Artist Bugle, CEO and Managing Director of An9ted Entertainment, is known for hits such as Pearly Gates, Nuh Compatible, Anointed, Rasta Party, and many more. With a successful musical career, Bugle now ventures into Music Production and released his first Riddim, titled Kick Off, on the An9ted Entertainment label.

“Initiating my first project included hours of hard work and late nights, which resulted in sleepless nights. After seeing everything coming together and exceeding my expectations, the long hours and hard work turned into fun and excitement. This experience has made me more appreciative of the work Producers have done with my songs in the past. I enjoyed every minute working on this project, making it a great experience for me,” Bugle said.

Kick Off features 14 tracks from artistes such as Busy Signal, Agent Sasco, Mr Easy, Tifa, Fully Bad, Samboni, Tarrus Riley, Dexta Daps, Dean Loyal, Craigy T, Sizzla, Popcaan, Cobra, Kibaki and Bugle. The compilation is getting rave reviews from fans and industry players alike, showing that it is possible to put out excellent Production with an interesting mix of veterans and up-and-coming Dancehall stars.

“It was a great experience! Working with my colleagues is always a joy. My relationship with them goes deeper than music. We would vibe at the studio cooking, drinking and smoking. We are like family. I think this made producing easier for me in comparison to a regular or a new Producer,” said Bugle.

When Moula Di Don, Slim I.D. and Karma Crew team up for a new track, expect fireworks to go off! Today the Montego Bay based Rappers premiere their single, “Pray“. Produced by Jones Beatz, the trio fire off bars speaking on their personal experiences in everyday life, and their respective music careers. They also come together to ask the Man above to watch over them and guide their steps. While we know what each lyricist is capable of, Slim I.D. aims to steal the show this time around. Moula is currently working his follow up to his “Know My Intentions EP” but we’re not sure if this will make the final cut but a dope song nonetheless. Jamaican Entertainment Programme “The Release” looks to garner a larger fan base in their upcoming 4th season. A Programme that highlights the latest Dancehall, Reggae, Pop, and Hip Hop releases from established and upcoming Artists, Interviews and news, was featured every Tuesday at 8:30 PM on Hype TV with repeats on Thursdays and Saturdays at 6:30PM. While they’ve kept the announcements to a minimum, they’ve released an official trailer that introduces new hosts as Talisa Taylor handled such duties in previous seasons along with various Artists and Media Personalities. Crazy Hype, @OceanaMusic “Brace” For Success!

International Songstress Oceana and Jamaican Dancer and Recording Artist Crazy Hype have recently coupled up to release the hit single ‘Brace’. The video for the single was shot in Los Angeles and produced by Rich Music from The Netherlands and has gained International traction with over 90,000 views on YouTube.

The video features Oceana’s skilled vocals and creative choreography which pulls Influence from both Caribbean and European Dance styles, paying homage to the duo’s heritage. Since the release, the couple has performed on international events and Television Programmes in Los Angeles, Germany, Russia and Poland. They are now back in Jamaica and ready to promote. “We will be hitting the streets and completing our media runs and letting the wider Caribbean feel the energy from this new single” said Crazy Hype.

Oceana was born and raised in Germany; her first album ‘Love Supply’ was certified Gold in three countries. Her hit single ‘Endless Summer’ from her second album, ‘My House’, was the official song for Euro 2012 which went Platinum with over 80 million views on YouTube. Crazy Hype on the other hand was born in St Catherine. He formed his Dance Troupe M.O.B. (Men Of Business) and has since performed all over the world. He has taught Dancehall in several countries in Europe and was the chief judge of the ‘Juste Debout’, the biggest Urban Dance event in the world. This came after Dancehall was added as a category for the first time in 2013. He is also known for his performance at Sean Kingston’s Super 18 Birthday Celebration for an MTV Programme.
