PRESS RELEASE: “Life Goes On” For TugStar

Recording artiste TugStar is quite happy with the release of his new single “Life Goes On”, a song recorded on the Street Side Records / Reef Ent. Records produced “Sweet Cone Riddim”. The song features International Dancehall Artiste Jahfus based in Vancouver, who has recorded and performed with the likes of Ray J, Ne-yo and more.

“Life Goes On” sums up some of the trials TugStar has been faced with, but also celebrates the triumphs of the Artiste. “This is just an easy flowing anthem for everyone striving for better while facing obstacles, it’s a song that connects with the soul, so I have no doubt it will connect with the people,” TugStar said.

Tugstar sheds some more light as to why this song came at a perfect time. “”Life Goes On” is the perfect song after the passing of my mentor and founder of Reef Entertainment Records, Wayne Douglas. He succumbed to Cancer in January of this year”. TugStar has been performing “Life Goes On” Internationally as a part of his set and has been receiving a tremendous feedback. “This song is a crowd favourite when I perform it, and the people love the energy between me and Jahfus every time the song comes on”.

TugStar has been opening and sharing the stage Internationally with artist such as QQ, Papa Michigan, Serani and more, while recording a host of singles to be released. He is also working on a Mixtape and his debut album. “Music is my escape and performing for the fans keeps me happy no matter what is going on around me so I just stay busy and keep giving the fans the shows and music they want cause “Life Goes On” and the music never stops.

In what was considered their shortest Interview ever, Birdman went off on the Radio personalities about tarnishing his name and walking out of the studio. Canadian based recording artiste, K-Anthony has released a new single geared for a global breakthrough. The song has an international, pop sound and critics believe this is definitely a single to watch. “Billboard” is the title of the track produced by Dwain “Wiya” Campbell of Barbwiya Music. It sends a comprehensive message that you may not achieve the success and recognition that most would do anything to acquire, however there are other achievements that more meaningful and of even greater value.

The urban-gospel singer said, “Initially in my career my main aim was to be the epitome of Gospel music. Getting on the world renowned Billboard charts. I had a redefining moment in my life, while writing this song. My focus shifted from self to total surrender to God’s will. My musical passion became bigger than just getting on to charts. My new goal was to be a billboard for what I believed in. I yearn to remind Christians that being a billboard is their duty. We are the living advertisement for salvation and grace. The spirit of Jesus within us, should shine for the world to see.”

When you listen to this record you can clearly hear the influence of R &B music, particularly of Boyz to Men and Brian McKnight. They played integral roles in the defining moments for K-Anthony, encouraging him to select the musical path he travels today. His new album also titled, “Billboard” is due to hit music stores this May.

K-Anthony, given name Kevin Fowler is a former instructor of music at Northern Caribbean University. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music and an Associates degree in Mass Communication.
