Today, we present the season finale of the “13th Street Quarantine Sessions” series. We thank you for the support throughout these 13 episodes, and we look forward to your support for season 2! Tonight’s performance comes from the Songbird Zosia McGregor with her single, “I Love You“! Joined by Percussionist Jody-Ann Brown and Guitarist Dario “Lilguitz” Morgan, Zosia hits us with the sweet vocals while the Musicians came through with the Riddim! We all need a lil love, and during these times, music can be such comfort. We invite you to not only check out this performance, but previous ones as well. Something new courtesy of Ras-I, Almando Douglas and Zosia McGregor. Reviving the 1978 classic, “Satisfy My Soul” by Bob Marley, the stage is set for an acoustic performance from the three. With a mellow vibe and soulful delivery from Ras-I, it’s no surprise when there are comparisons to the original “Gong“. With Zosia’s sweet vocals and Douglas’ Guitar performance adding to the track, this calls for lighters flicking and hits from the chalice! Did this satisfy your soul? Chip Off The Old Block: Meet The New Kids Of Dancehall x Reggae (Pt. 2)

First they started out as the youth of the Dancehall/Reggae culture, now they’re parents with growing kids. It isn’t unusual for the child of an Entertainer to follow in their parent’s footsteps one way or the other as at times they bring a modern take on their parent’s creations, or create their own lane. Some of the most famous off springs include Stephen, Ziggy, and Damian “Junior Gong” Marley (Sons of Bob Marley), Chino and Di Genius (Sons of Freddie McGregor), Junior Tucker (Son of Jimmy Tucker), Morgan Heritage (Children of Denroy Morgan), Tarrus Riley (Son of Jimmy Riley), Queen Ifrica (Daughter of Derrick Morgan), Protoje (Son of Lorna Bennett), Chronixx (Son of Chronicle) and many more. In part 2 of a few part series, I feature more of the new set of kids on the scene whose parents have covered much ground in their respective careers.
