She has been handling business performing with some of your favourite Reggae/Dancehall Artists for a while, but Recording Artist Nicketa tackles everything by herself this time around. Today, you can hear her delivering lovely notes on her latest single, “Love U Bad“! Teaming up with longtime collaborator Barbwiya Music, and getting some assistance from Nellie Roxx and Christopher Smith, Nicketa shows a lot of love for the man in her life. She shares how he has a way with her, keeps her stress free, takes care of her wants and needs, and sweeps her off her feet everytime! A song that’s relatable with many who never stop having heart eyes (😍) for their significant other. With the media highlighting broken relationships, “Men/Women are trash” comments, and messy couples, it’s nice to hear a partner being appreciated for once.

A song that’ll make you grab your partner and break out in dance, Barbwiya Music ensured to provide some real good vibes in their production for this new single. With the cold time creeping up upon us, shoutout to all the couples who know they have that warmth on lock. No Stew Peas were involved in this love story. Where are the Gamers? Recently, popular Racing Simulation series “Need For Speed” released their latest Video Game titled, “NFS Heat“! For those who are into Cars of all makes along with Nitro-burning speed, this one is sure to be a great addition to your collection. Along with the game comes a pretty heavy soundtrack that features Jamaica’s own DeeWUNN, Kabaka Pyramid, and Konshens on the tracks, “Back It Up, Drop It” (ft. Leo Justi), “Murder Music” (ft. Chase & Status), and “Reload” (ft. Eve) respectively. The soundtrack also features music from the likes of Latin Artists Zion Y Lennox, Toro Y Moi, and Alvaro Diaz, and Afrobeats Artist Burna Boy.

While these Artists are no strangers to being featured on various soundtracks over the years, they join the many who have had placements on the soundtracks for games like “Grand Theft Auto V” and the NBA 2K series. “NFS Heat” will be released on November 8, but check out the official Playlist below. OLDIES SUNDAY: Killamanjaro Vs Bodyguard Sound Clash (1997)

While many are still feeling the vibes from last night’s staging of the Redbull Culture Clash, we’ve decided to take you all back a lil on Oldies Sunday! Today we go back to the year 1997 to check out one of Killamanjaro Sound System and Bodyguard Sounds‘ many sound clashes. Held in May Pen, Clarendon, Selectors Ricky Trooper (Killamanjaro) and Fire Links (Bodyguard) both went dub for dub, and song for song with their teams in a clash that is still a memorable one for many. With dubplates and songs from the likes of Monster Shack Crew, Bounty Killa, Sizzla, Beenie Man, and Shabba Ranks with plenty tough talk accompanying them, this clash was a hot one.

While many may have varied opinions on last night’s event, it’s always good to look back at some of the classic Sound Clashes. Kicking off your Friday with some fire is Recording Artist Blvk H3ro! Continuing his run of releasing great music, he drops, “Cashew Tree“! Teaming up with Producer Drum Fingerz on this one, you can find Blvk H3ro floating over the beat with his signature sound, but switching it up now and then. The Two Fold Creative Studios directed Visualizer that accompanies the track finds Blvk busting out dance moves, and giving you a Neo-Dancehall vibe throughout that you can’t help joining in.

With a year that has seen him release his debut album, dishing out more singles, being a part of Fashion spreads, and performing from Kingston to New York, Blvk H3ro has come a long way, and has much more to go. Montego Bay will be lit up come Saturday October 26 as some talented folks will blaze it up with their performances at “Mobay’s Finest“! Founded by Recording Artist Karma Crew, the event showcases many promising Artists regardless of Genre. To kick things off, DJ Flakes has come on board to give everyone a preview of what’s to come with the “Mobay’s Finest Promo Mix“!

Featuring Karma Crew, Catalyst, Teja Christie, Ras Xtr3me, Tajex, Trooop, Shanika Soulchild, and Chavez Illmatiq, tune in to hear some of their current releases. I wish this mix was a little longer, but if you like what you’re hearing, come on down to Island Strains/Lounge 2727 off Jimmy Cliff Boulevard and enjoy yourselves.
