This link up was years in the making. While many can reach out to their faves for a collab with ease, it took a while for Recording Artist Alexx A-Game to get that with Canadian star Tory Lanez. After a few tries, the two finally connected and now we have their first track called “Double“. Produced by Vern Hill, A-Game gives us his signature subject matter where he motivates through the lyrics, and adding dreams of living a life greater than ever. OLDIES SUNDAY: Snow Ball Brown – Chiquitita (1994)

As we close the month of July, we had to throw in a classic. Today our Oldies Sunday selection comes from Recording Artist Clive Brown a.k.a. “Snow Ball Brown“. What is considered one of the greatest Festival Song Contest entries, we present to you “Chiquitita“! Produced by Sherman Clachar, this was released through Arabic Records in 1994, and became an entry in the 1994 Festival Song Contest. Though not a winning entry, it quickly became a hit outside of the contest. It music video was one to look forward to in the evenings on JBC TV before the News. With the infectious chorus, you couldn’t help but imitate Snow Ball’s delivery of “Oooh Chiquititaaaa…“. Not much was heard of Snow Ball Brown since his hit (except that he entered a few more times with no success, and fell on hard times), but “Chiquitita” continues to pop up during Jamaica’s Emancipation/Independence Day celebrations.

While Virgo recently released his debut EP, “Upful“, he continues to produce and release music at a steady pace. With the summer doing its thing, he drops some more heat with the single, “Number 1“. With Twinkle Brain dropping the lyrics, this one goes for the ladies as they’ll be feeling good all over with this release. From the opening melodies and lyrics, to the overall production, all the ladies will wine and go down to this while claiming the #1 spot.

The single is the first release for Dale Virgo’s upcoming EP titled “Afro“, and will hit the streets later this year. This is definitely one to keep in heavy rotation.
