It’s been a while since we’ve heard any music from Jamaican group, Acmatic. No worries though, as they’ve recently announced that they’ll be back. Until then, Acmatic Frontman King Lopo keeps the name alive with a track titled, “Straight To It“! Sharing production with Producer/Recording Artist Sawandi, we get a blend of Funk, Electronic Music, Dancehall, Hip Hop, and all around good vibes as Lopo keeps the rhymes flowing like the White Rum he so loves. Whether you’re starting your morning off, or searching for a party to crash in the night, “Straight To It” will keep you pumped up and ready for anything! Good to see Lopo back in the booth. Dropping new music today is Jamaica’s Acmatic. Titled “Bottom Of The Bank” and produced by PlateFace and backup vocals from Sevana, we hear lyrics about dealing with expenses, sending family members to a psych ward, frustrations and washing away sorrows with alcohol. Many people in Jamaica are going through a few things especially when it comes to the cost of living. With new taxes, higher prices on even basic necessities and no increase in salary, many can’t handle it and take to the bottle to temporarily relieve that stress. Titled “Backdrop“, we get a little story from King Lopo about meeting a girl at the Road March and proceeding to dance with her.
