On May 8, global Twitch Streamer/Content Creator IShowSpeed visited Jamaica as a part of his successful Caribbean Tour. Speed previously visited Barbados, Trinidad, Puerto Rico, Guadeloupe, Grenada, and St. Lucia to name a few, and the stop in Jamaica was very anticipated. The stream has since amassed over 3 Million views, and is the talk of the world. From culture, to music, to food, Speed got a taste of the Jamaican hospitality, and lifestyle. For those new to Jamaica, we want to highlight a few key moments and personalities from the stream.

Speed Meeting Yendi Phillipps

IShowSpeed’s first stop in his Jamaica Tour found him being guided by Yendi Phillipps. Phillipps is a former Miss Jamaica World (2007), Miss Jamaica Universe (2010), a Miss Universe 1st Runner Up (2010), and has represented Jamaica in not only beauty, but in the Media as a Personality. Phillipps welcomed Speed to Jamaica, and educated him on the Island’s Art, History, Dance, and Traditional Music.

Speed Trying Jamaican KFC

When it came to food, Speed’s first stop was at KFC. KFC in the Caribbean has been highly rated since its inception in the 1970s, with Jamaica holding the top spot for many. Having previously the meals from other Islands, it was Speed’s turn to know if the hype was real, or it was an “L”. After the taste test, Jamaican KFC is #1.

Speed Meets Sean Paul

Upon visiting the Haile Selassie High School, Speed was welcomed by International Dancehall Artist, Sean Paul. Sean Paul is a Platinum-selling, GRAMMY-winning Artist who commanded the 2000s with hits like “Like Glue“, “Gimme Di Light“, “Temperature“, and extended his success over the years with collaboration with SIA, Dua Lipa, Migos, Beyonce, Keyshia Cole, and many others. @IShowSpeedSui Takes On Jamaica In New Livestream

Since last April, global Twitch Streamer/Content Creator IShowSpeed has been moving through the Caribbean as a part of his long-awaited Caribbean Tour. Speed has shown up in Barbados, Trinidad, Puerto Rico, Guadeloupe, Grenada, St. Lucia and more, and Jamaica was one of the more-anticipated stops. Speed, who is known for his energetic and magnetic personality, is expected to indulge in Jamaica’s culture, music, food, and a lot more when he starts his mission. During his livestreams, he’ll show love to various locations, and even give back to the people. IShowSpeed currently has millions of followers on Social Media and on Streaming platforms, and has been co-signed by many celebrities, including famed Football Icon Cristiano Ronaldo, who is one of Speed’s idols.

Wynta Previews New Music On @DJAGOnline1’s Livestream

Upcoming Dancehall Artist Wynta has been on the move in these past few months. The TopRanks Entertainment-affiliated Deejay has been promoting the single, “Ghetto Currency“, and enjoyed over 100k views of its music video on Youtube. Ready to take his talents to more eyes and ears, he recently joined the Livestream of UK’s DJ AG Online in Kingston.

On March 24, Wynta showed up to DJ AG Online’s Livestream event to perform. The Deejay previewed new music, and quickly received praise from viewers, and fellow Artists at the location. The Deejay is known for the tracks “Rich Rock” and “16 & Bad“, and is working on his debut project to be released later this year. DJ AG Online’s livestream platform consists of a live DJ set where he allows public performances. Since 2023, he has shared the stream with a number of Artists including Skepta, Krept & Konan, Tippa Irie, Daniel Bedingfield, Macka Diamond, Beres Hammond, Asher D, Craig David, Kxng Izem, Valiant, and McKada. The DJ recently left Jamaica, and looks forward to coming back for more performances in the future.

Recording Artist McKada continues to shine wherever she is placed. Currently campaigning her new single, “Psst”, she is bringing more awareness to the catcalling culture that violates the boundaries of many Women, with a mission to put an end to it. Since its release of February 14, she has been receiving positive feedback, and support on Social Media. She looks to take the new single to more places, and her recent appearance on a popular livestream may have just kickstarted that mission for her.

On Saturday March 22, McKada made an appearance on UK-based DJ AG Online’s livestream to perform her new single, “Psst”. The recurring livestream that gets featured on Instagram and TikTok, made its debut appearance in Jamaica, and hosted a number of Dancehall and Reggae Artists. McKada brought the energy with her performance of the track on the livestream event, and quickly gained praise from viewers through cheers and comments, and has since gone viral thanks to posts shared on Social Media, racking up tens of thousands of views so far. McKada’s campaign for “Psst” includes radio/Media Interviews and appearances, Social Media content in support of the single, and live performances which include her appearance at the release of Reggae Artist Dahvid Slur’s “Give It Your All“ EP on March 25, and at the Jamaica Woodland Festival on April 26 at Pearly Beach in St. Ann. DJ AG Online’s livestream platform consists of a live DJ set where he allows public performances. Since 2023, he has shared the stream with a number of Artists including Skepta, Krept & Konan, Tippa Irie, Daniel Bedingfield, Mr. Vegas, Ding Dong, Asher D, Craig David, Kiprich, Valiant, and Blvk H3ro. The platform has grown exponentially since 2024, and plans to make stops in more parts of the world.
