Since then, she has built a solid catalogue, took her talent to stages around the world, and even dabbled in some acting. Now it’s time for her to step into a new era, and she’s inviting you all to be a part of it. Pack your bags for her debut album, “Welcome To Paradise“.

Featuring 12 tracks, Naomi Cowan offers you a musical experience with her debut album, “Welcome To Paradise”. The album dives into vast melodies, makes nods to the past Architects of Jamaican music including her Mother Carlene Davis, and aims to keep the listener away for extended periods. The album promises to be in your collection all year round, and you don’t need to request time off weeks in advance. Production on “Welcome To Paradise” is mainly handled by Toddla T with contributions from Jazzwad, Dub Chronicles, and Runkus who also makes appearances on a few tracks along with the legendary Johnny Osbourne. No matter the day, no matter the season, everyday is a good day for music, and every day can be a vacation day if Naomi Cowan has any say about it. All aboard to paradise!

With this year’s celebration titled, “UPRISING 80“, Tuff Gong has conducted a series of events that not only celebrate the Man and his music, but highlight the many people who continue to honour him, be influenced by him, and give us a look into the future of Marley. The event will also feature a series of performances by the likes of Alexx A-Game, Naomi Cowan, Kumar Fyah, Quan Dajai, Bugle, Mortimer, and more from around the world. It has been suggested for years and many claimed that they will take on the roles of directing and acting, but a Bob Marley Biopic is finally here! Come 2024, we will get to watch “Bob Marley: One Love“.

Under the direction of Reinaldo Marcus Green and Ziggy Marley the Producer, and the blessing from the Marley family, we get a Biopic that has been years in the making. The Film will cover the rise of the Bob Marley, including his assassination attempt that lead to the legendary “One Love Peace Concert“. British Actors Kingsley Ben-Adir and Lashana Lynch will play Bob and Rita Marley respectively, while Hector “Roots” Lewis, Naomi Cowan, Sevana, Sheldon Shepherd, Annalise McClure, Cornelius Grant, and Aston Barrett Jr. are just some of the names who play vital roles in the new Film. It’s safe to say this will be one of the greatest Biopics ever, and we can’t wait to see it in 2024. “Bob Marley: One Love” will be released through Paramount Pictures. Bob Marley’s legacy continues.

Recently, the world got to see some of the best Athletes compete at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo. In true fashion, members of Team Jamaica represented well regardless if they medalled or not. If you follow music closely in Jamaica, you know that tributes to the Athletes would be on the way. First at the finish line with one is Recording Artist Chris Malachi, and a bunch of his friends for the track, “We Move“.

Produced by Yo Christon and Chris Malachi, “We Move” also features Blvk H3ro, Naomi Cowan, Diel, Yung Ras, Ras-I, Kxng Izem, Royal Blu, Zhayna, and Monifa Goss who all delivered well for an epic tribute. We know this track will inspire many other tributes, and we will celebrate them like we did our Athletes in the past few weeks. We’ve seen many who were counted out become Medalists, years old records being broken, confidence through the roof for many, and despite some having setbacks, they’ll return to the track with a lot more determination in Paris 2024. The Christmas season is one that brings people together, and a lil more love is shown. Unfortunately for this year, Covid 19 made sure we don’t get to be around many of those we love. It’s also a time where many loved ones are missed, whether family members or close friends who passed away, someone missing that significant other for one reason or another, or just a situation where a loved one is unable to be present. For the sad times however, we just have to celebrate as if they’re still around. Recording Artist Naomi Cowan knows a thing or two about this, and today she covers a classic on her latest release.

Taking us back to 1994, Naomi Cowan covers Mariah Carey’s classic, “Miss You Most (At Christmas Time)“. Featuring production from Tessellated and CircaEleven, Naomi gives us a beautiful take on the Carey hit with her signature vocals. Accompanying the track is a visualizer directed by JP Williams and shot at Stush in the Bush in St. Ann. The original track was the second single released from Mariah Carey’s “Merry Christmas” album, which features the timeless classic, “All I Want For Christmas Is You“.
