Titled “Preconceived Notion: The Unusual Gift“, Hop drops off the trailer for it which features him talking about the greats like Michael Jackson, Prince, Tupac Shakur, Jay-Z, and Biggie Smalls. He also previewed his single “New York” at the end. Known for making thought provoking music, this mixtape could be something you pick up when it drops on August 1. Plotting on a come up the Sons Of Liberty finally dropped their long awaited mixtape. Titled “Escape Theory“, this is a 13 track set of hard hitting lyrics and production by the collective. Featuring production by King Biggs, Heatwave, RipTide, and haYze and verses from all members, this is a project that was 7 years in the making. Recorded at Phillip Myers’ studio, they were able to bring  us music from the soul, their form of expression without restriction or control. Today’s new video comes from the collective of King Biggs, haYze, The Therapist, Tristan, The Rush and 5 Star. Titled “Tribes of Hip Hop” and directed by Yannick Reid for Aeon Pro Studios, Randy Richards and Matthew McCarthy, we see them leading a mob through a neighborhood all while dropping bars over a hard hitting production made by King Biggs. You may also see a few familiar faces in the crowd. Who got the Jazz? I need a SOL shirt! NEW VIDEO: @PayAttentionJA Rap Cypher (Part 1)

Pay attention! It’s that time again where some of Jamaica’s best Yardcore artists grace the stage and display their talent to the masses in a concert series called “Pay Attention“. Held on Saturday June 8 at Club Indulge in Kingston, and featuring acts such as Acmatic, Sly Rankin and others. As a teaser to the show, Pay Attention released a Rap Cypher video featuring Five Steez, Nomad Carlos, Memoirs, Tripple, The Sickest Drama, Gully Cash, and Avalanche. Very dope mix of flows and lyrics, a great showcase of what Jamaicans can do once given the opportunity.  Foreign acts pay attention and read this article on making a link up here.
