StuntMan: @IAmSafaree Fires Shots In New @FunkFlex Freestyle!

Many have thrown dirt his way over the years, but Recording Artist/Fur Expert Safaree stands tall regardless. Recently, he stopped by the Hot 97 Studio to rap a few bars for Funkmaster Flex. As a part of the DJ’s Freestyle series, Safaree fires off in episode 78. From changing furs during, to sending a jab at fellow Jamaican, popular Youtube personality DJ Akademiks, we’re surprised he didn’t throw his signature “Suck ya mada” during. Christmas may be a lil early this year for some of you, and you’ll be rewarded whether you’ve been naughty or nice. For what has been a long time coming, well known Jamaican Producers SOS Dynamikz and BNJMN have announced their joint Album, “1221“! The duo have worked with each other over the years, but now they combine their sounds and bars for the new project. While the Album art has been revealed (designed by PlateFace), no further details will be out as yet except it will drop on 12/21 at 12:21 AM!

On “Chill Suite“, they give listeners a laid back vibe as they make the kind of music you just want to relax on a leather couch, have a few close peeps around, and smoke a rare strain of Marijuana to over a TAC4 produced Instrumental. The track also features an appearance from OneLoveTheo, and the talented Monique Kidd (a.k.a. Kidding Art) provides the dope Art for the single as well.

It’s big business when these two team up! The “Unruly Boss” Popcaan and UK Rapper Giggs got the clips loaded and masks on in their new track, “Time’s Tickin’“. Over a banging Production, the Artists go into “Killy Killy” mode and show listeners they’re not playing when the war is on! For those who aren’t familiar with Giggs, he has been on the UK Rap and Grime scene for a few years delivering slick rhymes over dope Production. More people got wind of him thanks to his appearance on Rapper Drake’s “More Life” project. With his recently released “Wamp 2 Dem” Mixtape, he wants new listeners to know he’s here to stay, and will be a problem to those who step in his way. Wicked! While there are those who are heavily influenced by the 90’s and Underground movements, the new wave are influenced by the “Trap Music” culture. One of those acts who has started to make some noise in recent times is Gotti OG. A member of Jamaican Creative Deth’s (a.k.a. ShotByDeth) “FOREVER” Label (More on that later), he kicks off the month of October with “WockStar“! Produced by Cloud Beats, Gotti speaks on the life of a RockStar complete with beautiful ladies at his reach, acquiring designer gear, and making his presence felt everywhere with his crew. “Nothing Else Matters”, The Council Finally Release Their Debut Album!

After many delays and a few singles, Jamaican Rap Super Group The Council finally released their debut Album, “Nothing Else Matters“. Featuring 16 tracks, the Rappers Five Steez, The Sickest Drama, Nomad Carlos, and Inztinkz promises that Jamaican Hip Hop and the “First Coast Movement” will be on another level with this project. From songs featuring Social Commentary, reminiscing on the “Golden Era”, everyday struggle, to just flexing their lyrical abilities, NEM has something for those who need an escape from the “Mumble Rap” and want to hear “Real Rap“. The Album also features verses from Kabaka Pyramid, Koro Fyah, Massy The Creator, Tha God Fahim, Illicit King, Triple Tr8, J Militia, and Beast while Inztinkz guides them all with some amazing Production. With years in the making, NEM will not disappoint, and should be a nice addition to your collection.
