Hip Hop Artist Shyne has been through a lot these past few years. From being a top Rapper on the Infamous Bad Boy Records, to serving part of a 10 year Prison sentence, to converting to Judaism, he now looks at resurrecting his music career and even dabble in Politics. During the Reggae Sumfest festivities he visited Jamaica, made his presence felt, and held a conversation with Winford Williams of Onstage TV. Here he reflected on his past, working with DJ/Producer Supa Hype, his upbringing, his Father Dean Barrow, Prime Minister of Belize and looking to follow in his footsteps in Politics, showing love to Vybz Kartel and Buju Banton, and more. He also joined Barrington Levy last night at Reggae Sumfest and delivered his hit singles. Looking forward to hearing more from Shyne and we at 13thStreetPromotions.com will be sure to keep you posted. Check out the Interview below and share your thoughts in the comments section.

Digging through his archives and dropping a track today is Producer/Rapper Kris Karz. Titled “Rebel Music“, this features Singers Ana and Trust and Reggae artist Biggz General. This unmixed version also features a sample from the late Dennis Brown. Here they speak on being a rebel against the system, having their own thoughts and standing out in everything. They also pay respect to famous rebels who fought for the rights of people. A good effort here, given the right push this could be a hit for them all. What do you think? It’s never too late to show appreciation to your Mother for all she has done and today Rapper Dylan Golden does just that. Titled “If I Told You” which features Singer Kamau and produced by Jamaican producer Kris Kars, Dylan makes a dedication to his Mother, speaks on growing up with her, how she has been there for him even when he messed up and how he wants to give back for all she has done. A good effort here from Dylan, great production from Kris and I like that chorus that Kamau provided. This deserves to be played to your Mom anytime so keep this track handy. Show Mom that love!
