Showing another side to her music on this Easter Monday is Dancehall artist Shie with a new single. Titled “Tek Dat” and produced by GHG Productions out of Ghana on the “Apple Riddim“, Shie speaks on being a bad girl, what it takes to being a hot girl, having her own way, and getting anything she wants with ease over the Reggaeton influenced production. Something different from the young artist as she has previously done a few R&B singles. What do you think? Check out the track below and share your thoughts in the comments section.

NEW MUSIC: @TPain x @KardinalO – Dis A My Ting (RAW)

TPain

Inspired by Dancehall music is T Pain’s latest single. Titled “Dis A My Ting“, this features Kardinal Offishall and an unnamed young lady on the chorus. Together they drop a little Dancehall and some Jamaican inflections in this bass heavy Hip Hop track. Interesting single from T-Pain but something you can play at ignorant levels. Off his upcoming “The Iron Way” mixtape which features DJ Drama and DJ Trendsetter, check out the track below and share your thoughts in the comments section.

OLDIES SUNDAY: @CharMaxRomeo – Chase The Devil (1976)

Today’s Oldies Sunday selection comes from “The Son Of Selassie” a.k.a. Max Romeo. Titled “Chase The Devil“, this was produced by Lee “Scratch” Perry with backing by “The Upsetters” band in 1976 for Island Records. It was also a single included in Max’s 4th studio album, “War Inna Babylon“. The song brings forth a “Good conquering evil” theme where the Devil is being a negative force on Earth and when Max dons his Iron shirt, he will fight the Devil and send him to outer space. Max later explained that the Devil is everything negative in our minds and the Iron shirt is our strength of spirit that allows one to cast out the Devil.

NEW VIDEO: @TuchPointMusic Presents: @TeffTV – Too Sober

Tefftv

This goes out to all those who just wanna have fun. Today’s new lyric video comes from Dancehall artist Teff. Titled “Too Sober“, was directed by The Parris Agency who brought lots of neon colours to compliment the track. On the single, produced by TuchPoint Music on the “Clarendon Riddim“, Teff speaks on showing interest in the ladies, but is not looking for love. Teff also states that he’s too drunk to care, and too sober to fall in love with anyone. A great effort here as this is the single that requires you to grab a girl out of the crowd and let her grind on you. Enjoy the moments responsibly and listen out for more singles off the Clarendon Riddim. Check out the video below and share your thoughts in the comments section.
